Discuss: second Reading pp. 1117-1119 What is a poppet? Who made it for whom and when? This will become VERY important later! Pay attention!

Why is Mary Warren suddenly very self-important? How do the Proctors react to this and the news she brings from town?

What is Goody Proctors reaction to all the news after Mary Warren heads to bed?

Discuss: Third Reading excerpt, pp. 1119-1123 Hale is evaluating Johns Christian character what 3 weak areas does he note?

How does he feel about Rev. Parris and how does that impact church attendance and baptism of his sons?

Tell me more about John and the recitation of the Ten Commandments which does he forget?
