Do not book flights before trekking Mountain Gorillas as journey to the gorillas can be delayed by various factors i.e. bad weather, mechanical break down, government factors, strikes etc. We advice clients to allow at least between 1 - 2 days extra on the trip to cover up any lost day on the trip. Cross the fresh water lakes in the Great Rift Valley and continue to Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Accommodation at campsite which has hot showers, flush toilets, and free internet. Day 2: Kampala- Kabale (Meals: B, L, D) Early morning depart the Campsite by coach and travel to Western Uganda. Arrive in Kabale by lunchtime then transfer to our hotel for shower and lunch. After lunch you can either visit Lake Bunyonyi or spend time exploring Kabale. Overnight and dinner at the hotel Day 3: Kabale- Bwindi- Mgahinga- Virunga Gorilla National Park (Meals: B, L, D) Early departure in private cars to Bwindi, Mgahinga, Volcanoes or Virunga Gorilla National parks to trek Mountain Gorillas. Clients may decide to spend more time in Uganda or cross the border over to Rwanda or Congo for more exploration. We can arrange flights to Entebe or Nairobi. Day By Day itinerary Take this tour into the wilderness in Western Uganda where you can see gorillas in their natural habitat. Spend a few days traveling through Western Uganda where you will see beautiful scenery of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Victoria. Visit Kabale, Kisumu and Kampala. Spend some time relaxing at nearby Lake Bunyonyi, the perfect location for a nice walk or a relaxing swim. Walk in the hills surrounding Kabale during the day and spend the evening in this lively town sampling local beers and food. Finally, you will trek to Virunga Gorilla National Park, where you have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see gorillas in their natural habitat. Gorillas are critically endangered, and there are less than 750 left in the wild. On this tour you will have the chance to see two subspecies of gorilla – western lowland gorilla in southern Nigeria, Gabon and Cameroon and mountain Gorilla in Uganda, Rwanda & Congo.
