Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation The INSC is an EU instrument promoting high levels of nuclear safety in third countries through the implementation of specific projects which provide:
Support for regulatory bodies and TSOs including reinforcement of legislative/regulatory frameworks
Safety improvements to the design, operation and maintenance of NPPs
Support for safe management of SF & RW, decommissioning and remediation of contaminated sites
Support for the application of efficient and effective safeguards of nuclear material
JRC provides technical and scientific support to DG DEVCO for the programming, preparation and implementation of INSC projects
Slovak Organisations are participating in the implementation of several INSC projects:
UJD SR – Support to regulatory bodies
AMEC Nuclear Slovakia – Safe management of SF & RW
Vuez AS – Safety improvements to NPPs; safe management of SF & RW
Vuje AS - Safety improvements to NPPs
