Using tags

• Recommended tags are a combination of tags you have already used and tags that other people have used.

• Popular tags are what other people have tagged this page as

• Navigate to the site that you like

Click on the TAG icon.

This is the screen you will see. There willautomatically be some sort of “description.” You can type in “notes” if you’d like. You then can create “tags” – use spaces in between multiple tags.Use the recommended tags or popular tags or makeyour own tags. Here you can also send thisbookmark to people in your network.

• From your user site you can edit the tags & notes of any site

Settings

Public / PrivateBookmarks

• To change a public bookmark to private, first enable private saving in your settings.

• Check the do not share box• While saving a new bookmark, you can also

check the do not share box to make that bookmark private.

Organizing your bookmarks

• Bundles are a way to arrange previously-used tags into groups.

• From settings: click on bundle tags• You can also rename tags• Lists vs. Clouds

Importing Bookmarks• First export your bookmarks from your browser.

• Sign in to del.icio.us and click on the settings tab.

• You can choose whether or not to add popular tags

• Bookmarks you import remain private until you share them.

• You can also export your del.icio.us links as a back up.

Exporting Bookmarks

• Sign in to del.icio.us and click on the settings tab.

• Choose Export / Backup.

• This allows you to create an html page.
