BiographyAriel S. Tabag (born August 16, 1978), is a bilingual Ilocano fictionist (he writes in Ilocano language and Tagalog/Filipino), poet, editor, translator, and musician. He has received the Palanca Awards for his Ilokano short stories. He has also been awarded the Talaang Ginto-Gantimpalang Collantes. He has received awards from Ilocano literary contests such as AMMAFLA, GUMIL California, SABALI, RFAAFIL, ATILA, Tugade Awards. He is the author of Karapote (Curion), an anthology of Ilocano short stories. Tabag is also a fellow to the 41st UP National Writers Workshop (2002).

SummaryDante Visited Sta. teresita to get his certificate, then he asked his “Nanang” to where did she put the certificate. His Nanang showed him the certificate but there was a voice tape of his dead Uncle with a title of 4 my one & onli lab ATO. As the moment pass by he remembered how his Uncle Ato died.

His friend says that the death of his uncle was intentional but his family side says that his uncle died in an accident. Until he played the voice tape of his dead uncle and now he knows the truth. His uncle said ““Patawarin mo ako, Mahal. Di ko ginusto. Papatayin ako kapag lumaban ako. Isipin mo na lang na makakamtan na rin natin ang hinahangad mong magandang kinabukasan para sa mga anak natin... Matatapos din ang kontrata ko…”

Setting

The Story took place in the 1990’s in Santa Teresita

Plot summary

Dante visits Sta. Teresita during his vacation and recalls past events that led to Angkel Ato's death as he finds the cassette tape given by Angkel Ato's wife.

Uncle Ato died in an accident

Since Dante is in the right age, he listened to the voice tape which explains everything

As seen in the story, it evolved from presenting the setting and it goes on through the established plan of achieving the climax then the end.
