SEQUENCE OF EVENTS WERE AS FOLLOWING
TRIO DANCE :-
A dancer‟s lament is, “Sorry I missed your call because I was dancing to the ringtone!”.
With these thoughts in mind the TRIO DANCE PERFORMANCE of Itisha, Kavya and Aakriti

the job of feet is walking but their hobby is dancing.
Group Singing:
Music is life and hence our hearts have beats. A famous physician once said, “I have been
practising medicine for 30 years and I have prescribed many things but in the long run I have
learnt that the best medicine for the human creature is Love.” Someone asked, “What if it doesn‟t
work?” To this he smiled and answered to increase the dose and hence to increase this dose of
love for music we had the group singing event up on the sleeve. The artists included Kartik,
Prakhar, Shauryaa, Shipra, Aayush, Kriti, Lavi, Akhil and Utsav.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM OF ORIGO STUDENT SOCIETY
The motive of this program was to familiarise the juniors with our society. The audience was
told about the history and the idea behind our society. The event started with a few glimpses
about our achievements and the events we organise. A few interactive activities were planned for
the audience after this. They were quizzed on various topics like general knowledge,
entertainment and different novels.
To lighten the mood, games and quizes were organised for the audience as well. The program
ended on a happy note with a vote of thanks from the President and the Student coordinator of
the society. The juniors were told about the various advantages of joining a literary society. To
ensure that the audience, instead of going languor, remained engrossed in the orientation
programme, they were given an opportunity to act on stage. Students recited a poem and even
sang a song.
Open Mic provides an open platform for any individual who wishes to showcase their talent in
front of a live audience. The open mic commenced with the recital of an original poem from an
audience member himself. Then the two guest speakers exhibited eloquence and candour as they
took the stage, charming the audience with their poems on relevant topics and stand-up comedy
acts. The audience was responsive and engaged, thereby elucidating the success of the Open
Mic.
Quiz up, as played during the programme, was reminiscent of the event that Origo organises
every year during Zealicon. The audience was asked questions ranging from general knowledge
to our own college and from popular television shows and movies to admired novels. Every
correct answer earned a prize. Hence, the event had something for the bibliophiles as well as the
aficionados of popular culture. The hosts of the quiz kept it very interactive and got a positive
response from the students who seemed to enjoy it.
Origo conducted the orientation programme of incoming students to ensure their smooth intake;
familiarize them with the society's facilities, norms and cultures and to introduce them to
plethoric other information. Audio and video aids were used to inform students about the
exciting world of a literary society. This formative OP was not only meant to be educational but
was also meant to be fun. Our creative orientation leaders designed innovative and entertaining
activities for new students to learn more about each other while familiarizing themselves with
Origo. Light was shed on the four departments of the society, namely –Design, Management,
Creative and Photography, so that the students can choose one according to their own interests
and skill sets. The focus of orientation, like academics at JSS, was on the small group experience
and student-led activities to foster community building from day one throughout the first
semester and into the rest of their JSS journey
