DUBAI

Resuming our journey in Semester II (September 2011...onwards)

In the words of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, “Time is not measured by the passing of years but by what one

does, what one feels, and what one achieves”. As we look back upon the time of the months that just

passed by, there’s certainly a feeling of achievement about what we set out to do. We at JSSPS were all

set to have our students back in the orchards of the institution, where he / she has been planted to

bring forth fruits of scholastic success and a reflection of values.

‘Mission growth’ in this term will strive for a perfect balance of academic as well as personal excellence.

The normal course of day will find the faculty educating the child in subjects that all go to raise overall

knowledge and awareness. This shall be meticulously assessed at regular intervals and exercises to

measure their attainment in these areas. Besides addressing the knowledge build up, JSS would in this

term embark upon specific activity based programmes which cater to helping your child to cultivate

hidden talents and interest. They would be left with the choice to opt for activities of their interests to

bring about a holistic growth than selective and by no means merely academic growth. Martin Luther

King, Jr. so very rightly said, “Intelligence plus character-- that is the goal of true education.” My

convictions are firm that achieving overall development using tools that inspire the child to participate

and submit wholeheartedly will excite them in the same manner as they would otherwise experience

while at play.
