ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The need to address cyber security challenges has become extremely important as we move towards an economy powered by connectivity. Governments, and large enterprises can no longer invest in obsolete methods of detection and defense and have to understand how cyber security impacts their strategy and long-term sustainability. Hence, Jubail Cyber Security Conference will be organized during the period 12- May 2017 Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayyan Al-Saud, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), as the premier event that brings together industry, government and academic interests in an effort to improve the state of cyber security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The conference is designed to ensure all stakeholders understand the complexity and the need for action in the cybersecurity arena , to protect our personal and corporate data. In this two days conference, we’ll tackle the world of cybersecurity that demands we go far beyond the simple passwords and anti-virus protection of yesterday, to applying frameworks to reduce the business risks resulting from the use of cyber systems.

The engineering art of injecting cyber security within the industrial critical infrastructures
Overview of workshopMore than six years have passed after Suxnet and the world realized the need to protecting the critical infrastructures
from the emerging threats. We live in the era of cyber war, hacktivism, and building electronic armies. While we talk
a lot about industrial cyber problems there is a need to talk more about effective practical solutions. The workshop
will highlight the importance of understanding the combination of the industrial cyber security, automation, and
understanding plant production models in order to design the right cyber secure infrastructure and solutions. The
session will also cover the important aspects that need to be addressed by the stakeholders to achieve the goals.
The speakers will focus on covering a comprehensive overview of the practical approach for designing, injecting
and implementing cyber security for the Industrial Control Systems from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Stage
through the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) to commissioning.
