Absent Policy: For an assignment not to be counted as late work you will have the number of days of class periods you were absent to turn the work. For example, if you were absent 2 class periods you will have 2 extra class periods to turn in work. It is your responsibility to find out what you missed while you were out. Refer to the “While you were out” board to see what you’ve missed before coming to me with any questions.

Late Work Policy Late work is defined as any assignment that is not submitted on its due date, with the exception of make-up work for absences. Late work will be accepted 3 school days from the assignments due date or end of the 9 weeks (which ever comes sooner). There is a penalty of 10 points for each day it is late—up to 3 days. On the fourth day the assignment becomes a zero.

Course Description: In Algebra II, students will build on the knowledge and skills for mathematics in Kindergarten-Grade 8 and Algebra I. Students will broaden their knowledge of quadratic functions, exponential functions, and systems of equations. Students will study logarithmic, square root, cubic, cube root, absolute value, rational functions, and their related equations. In addition, students will extend their knowledge of data analysis and numeric and algebraic methods.

Parent/Guardian and Student Signature Page

I have read the above information and understand Ms. Ackerman’s rules and procedures. As a parent/guardian of a student in Ms. Ackerman’s class there is an incumbent responsibility to the student to carry out the lessons and work to the best of their ability and for the parent to be an active participant in the child’s success. There may be times when Ms. Ackerman will reach out to parents/guardians in order to best supply the support the student needs. The below signatures confirms that the syllabus has been read and understood and will comply with all above.
