The Rutgers Social Skills Program is excited to be collaborating with
Julie Averbach (Author of AFMW)
and Shereen Bar-Or (MPS in Creative Arts Therapy from the Pratt Institute) with a workshop for siblings of special needs. They will present stories from Adventures
From My World and also have the opportunity to work with these siblings to help
create their own story.
These siblings will:
Meet other brothers and sisters of children with special needs Meet Julie Averbach and a Pratt Institute artist
Create their own comic book story Foster friendships
Share their favorite stories about their sibling with special needs
Advocacy ∙ Insight ∙ Friendship
Support ∙ Coping Skills
Who are the Rutgers Siblings Workshops for? Siblings of Special Needs (ages 8-16)
When is the workshop held? Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
Where is the workshop held? 41 Gordon Road Suite C Piscataway, NJ 08854
What is the cost of the workshop? The cost is $25 per child

“Rutgers Siblings Workshop: Comic Book”. Lunch (pizza and water) will be provided. (please bring lunch if child has any dietary restrictions)
*Pre-registration for the Rutgers Social Skills groups will also available during this time.
