Dearest community of Sacred Heart receive a greeting of peace and good in Jesus Christ the Lord, I am Fa-ther Eder Tamara, I was born in Colombia South America, I was ordained in the Diocese of Sanson Rionegro Colombia In my country I was working for about fifteen years where I began my priestly ministry in the Dio-cese of Monteria Columbia and can also share very closely with my family but the Lord has other plans for him there are no borders because the Church is Universal and also brought me to these beloved lands of the United States of America to continue the mission that He has entrusted me, first I was in the Archdiocese of New York, NY and Memphis TN and now with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, it has been a wonderful time where I have also been very blessed to find communities full of the love of God and very welcoming . I now come from the parish of St. Mary's Palmdale, Ca. after having four years of service in such a beloved community where I will await in my heart fond memories and great gratitude, I am very happy to come to share with you this new mission that he Lord has entrusted to me as the prophet Isaiah says in chapter 52.7 "How beautiful are on the mountains, the feet of the one who brings good news of the one who proclaims salvation" the Lord has given me the happiness of going to many countries and communities to carry the message of salvation and now I will start with you a new mission guided by the Holy Spirit that fills us with his gifts, chrisms and ministries. So that together we can continue to build a community very committed to the service of the Lord and all his Church, I ask God for wisdom and docility to the Holy Spirit to help me faithfully fulfill this new mission from now on my prayers and I, with yours Holy Family Jesus, Maria and Jose bless you all. United in prayer. Fr. One of the crucial things we do in a Catholic school is to help develop our student's capacity for excellence in their spirituality, academics, social skills, and emo ons. All of these moments happen when we call them to-ward their best effort, goodness, and what leads them to grow into wonderful people. Catholics schools lead all other educa onal school programs by having the best prepared students entering high schools and colleg-es. Page 7 Ministry News COVID - 19 Up dates The Coronavirus pandemic has affected our world and society in ways we could never have imagined. Over the last fifteen months, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, we have adapted the ways we lived our daily lives, as well as the ways we worshiped as a Church. As certain restrictions are lifted and parishes more fully reopen, our priority, as it has been throughout this pandemic, is our need to care for and protect one another. • Those who have serious and legitimate reasons (e.g., Illness, underlying health conditions that renders
them susceptible to illness, significant fears of becoming ill, etc.,) are dispensed from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation.
• Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals outdoors for religious services. • Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals outdoors when social distancing is not possible,
and at all times indoors. • For now, Holy Communion will be offered in the form of bread. Communion on the hand is strongly en-
couraged. The Ministers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion on are encouraged to sanitize their hands before distributing Communion and after Communion has concluded.
We remain strong in our faith knowing that God will always be by our side.
Did you know? Another reason not to leave children in the car Parents know the dangers of hot cars and leav-ing children unattended. Experts say there’s another reason to never leave children alone, in a running vehicle, even for just a few moments — carjackers. A car thief may see a running car as an easy target, but if he/she doesn’t know there is a child inside, the car thief becomes an unintentional abductor. In these cases, car thieves may panic, leaving the child in an in-creasingly dangerous situation. Take extra pre-cautions to make sure your children are not left alone in a car. It is well worth the extra steps of getting them in and out of car seats and safety belts and taking them with you. For more infor-mation, visit https://www.missingkids.org/content/ncmec/en/blog/2021/theyre-stealing-more-cars-with-kids-left-in-them.html.
Dear Parishioners we are glad to communicate that we have reached the last step needed to start building our Church! We are very thankful for those families that have and continue to help since the start of this cam-paign, may God continue to bless you all. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you all of the final step needed. There are about 7000 parishioners registered, if each family were to pledge $500 we will meet the final mark of the $3 million needed in our balance to start our building! -— ---------------------------------------------------Cut Here----------------------------------------------------------------------———
