ASSOCIATION:

The ECE Department Students’ Association was organized on 21.07.2018. It was

inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr.Srinivasan Thanukrishnan., Founder & CEO of

Glosys Technology Solution Pvt.Ltd, Chennai.

The CSE Department Students’ Association and CSI Students’ Chapter were

inaugurated on 21.07.2018. It was inaugurated by Mr. Nirmal Kumar.R, Project

Manager-Information security at TCS,Chennai.

The Mechanical Department Students’ Association (MEA) was organized on

23.07.2018.

The EEE Department Students’ Association and IETE Students’ Chapter were

inaugurated on 03.12.2018 by Dr. Dinesh Babu, Application & Product manager,

Megger, Chennai.

NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM :

The ALL Departments have Conducted the National Level Technical Symposium on

27.08.2018. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr.Ramanan A., Scientific Officer,

Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, Chennai.

NATIONAL WORKSHOP:

The ECE Department conducted:

IEEE Sponsored National level two days Autonomous Workshop on Robotics, on

20.08.2018 and 21.08.2018. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr.Durga Prasad

Yadav, and Mr. Yogendra Singh.,Robosapien, Noida,India.

National level Workshop on “Internet of Things(IoT)”, on 27.08.2018. It was inaugurated

and conducted by the Chief Guest Ms. Gudiya.,Software Developer and Mr. Diwakar

B.,Senior Java Developer., Goutham B.,Embedded Developer,Trios Technologies,

Chennai.

IEEE Sponsored National level two days Autonomous Workshop on Robotics, on

18.09.2018 and 19.09.2018. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Sobin Sunny and

Mr. Yogendra Singh., Robosapien, Noida,India.

Two days Workshop on "Embedded System Design", on 24.09.2018 and 25.09.2018. It

was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Sabarinath P., Resprolabs, Tamil Nadu, India.

The Mechanical Department conducted:

IIPE Sponsored National level Workshop on "Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance"

was organized on 13.07.2018.

IIPE Sponsored National level Workshop on “Non Destructive Testing (NDT)”,was

organized on 01.09.2018. It was inaugurated and conducted by the Chief Guest Mr. V.

Balamurugan, Supertech Scientific & Metallurgical services, Chennai.

OTHER ACTIVITIES :

The ECE Department organized Japanese Language Orientation program on

23.08.2018.It was delivered by Mr.Boopalan R., ABK - AOTS DOSOKAI, Tamil

Nadu Centre.

National Academic Development Research Forum (NADRF) of ECE Department

arranged a Technical session on" Latest Developments in Data Science ", on

25.08.2018.It was presented by Mr.Saravanan.,Trrritory Delivery Head from NIIT

Limited,Chennai.

The ECE Department conducted Mini Project Contest on 22.09.2018. There were 20

batches of students displayed the various innovative projects.

The Department of Science and Humanities conducted a Motivational Programme on

20.11.2018 by Women Development Cell. Smt Adhilakshmi Logamurthy a Senior

Advocate, Legal Consultant, Arbitrator and Trainer and a social worker of repute

was the Chief Guest.

The Department of Science and Humanities celebrated the Science Day on 22 .11.2018.

It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest and Motivator Shri M M Shah Managing

Director-D-Cube Designs, Chennai.

Sources" was organized on 20.12.2018.It was presented by Dr R Velraj, Professor &

Director, Institute For Energy Studies, Anna University and Dr M Venkata

Ramanan Assistant Professor (Senior) Institute For Energy Studies, Anna

University.

Guest lecture was delivered on Electrical Machines to the second year students by Mr.

Krishnamurthy D, Manager- Design and Engineering, Power Projects, Training and

Technology Consultants, Tirupur, on 10.07.2018.

Mr. Azhagar Raj, Manager- Design and Engineering & Director-Engineering,

Hibrise Technology Private Limited, delivered guest lecture on Protection and

Switch Gear for the third year students on 10.07.2018.

Guest lecture was delivered on Power system to the third year students by Mr.

Krishnamurthy D, Manager-Design and Engineering, Power Projects, Training and

Technology Consultants, Tirupur, on 10.08.2018.

Guest lecture was delivered on Electrical machines-1 to the second year students by Mr.

Azhagar Raj, Manager- Design and Engineering & Director-Engineering, Hibrise

Technology Private Limited, on 22.09.2018.

Guest lecture was delivered on Power system to the third year students by Mr.

ECE:

The ECE Department organized Guest Lecture on" Knowing Personality type for Better

Life" on 04.08.2018.The lecture was delivered by Mr.Madhavan Elango., Leadership

Coach and Entrepreneur, KBC Group, Belgium.

MECH:

The Mechanical Department organized Guest Lecture on "Fundamentals of Corrosion" on

21.07.2018.The lecture was delivered by Dr.GuptaManoj, Associate Professor, National

University of Singapore.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATION BY ECE ALUMNI

Mr.Pranay Venkatesh Perumal., Alumni., from Soliton Technologies presented session on

"Placement in Core Industries", Ms.Srinidhi Sridharan., Alumni., presented session on

"Latest Developments in Embedded Technologies & Opportunities for Higher

Education in Germany", conducted by ECE National Academic Development Research

Forum (NADRF), at RMKCET, on 25.08.2018.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The EEE Department conducted An Anna university sponsored Faculty Development

Programme on the course EE 8401-Electrical Machines-II from 03.12.2018 to 15.12. 2018.
