ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year

1998 with an intake of 40 students. At present there is an intake of 240 UG students and 54 PG

laboratories, audio-visual facilities, and software tools such as Multisim, Active HDL, MATLAB,

and 9 Mbps Internet facility. The department was accredited by NBA Committee of AICTE in the

year 2009, which was a great achievement in the department’s history. The department offers PG

programs, M. Tech in Digital Electronics and Computer Systems, Digital Systems and Computer

Electronics, and VLSI and Embedded Systems.

The Department of ECE conducts the examinations and the degree is awarded by

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The board of education is incorporated

with latest developments in Electronics and Communication field, such as well-equipped labs

and well trained faculty and allied fields in the dynamic fashion, so that the student is exposed

to the latest technological advancements during the program.

PrOgram educatiOnal Objectives

I. To acquire knowledge in applied and basic engineering sciences to understand engineering principles which is necessary to formulate and solve problems related to Electronics and Communication Engineering.

II. To develop knowledge in experimentation, analysis, and synthesis of Electronics and Communication Engineering courses to design/innovate and create novel products/solutions to real life problems.

III. To inculcate managerial and entrepreneur skills, ethical and professional attitude, and multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of industry and society.

IV. To recognize the need for further studies, research, ever learning to adopt oneself in the phase of changing technologies, and to ensure the students to succeed in engineering positions globally.

The Department of ECE is the trend setter in the institution. In this manner the

department has the unique identity in the institution, with many successful assignments

and achievements as well.
