Ginanap ang pagtatapos ng kauna-unahang Computer Literacy Program-Basic Level noong nakaraang Linggo sa Tongsong Auditorium. May-roong sampung (10) nagtapos sa nasabing pro-grama. Karamihan sa kanila ay mga ulirang ina dahil sa kabila ng kaabalahan nila sa kanilang mga trabaho ay ginusto pa rin nilang mag-aral
Binigyang parangal ang Woori Bank bilang pasasalamat sa pagbabahagi ng mga Computer na ginamit sa programang ito. Sina Fr. Alvin Parantar, MSP, Ambassador Luis Cruz at repre-sentative ng Woori Bank ang nag-abot ng ser-tipiko ng pagtatapos.. Ang sampung nagsipagta-pos ay sina Veronica Viray, Jocelyn Mandabon, Delia Cabillo, Adoracion Ballad, Bevie Jatulan, Illa Tabayan, Melissa Agustin, Norma de Guzman, Myrna Garlit at Roger Sy. Nabigyan din ng paran-gal ang mga guro, na miyembro ng ITcomm, na
nagbahagi ng kanilang oras at kaalaman.
Layunin ng programang ito na mabigyan ng pagkakataong makapag-aral ng Basic Computer Skills ang mga migranteng Filipino sa kabila ng kanilang pagganap sa kanilang trabaho dito sa Korea. Hangarin din ng Hyehwadong Filipino Catholic Community na palawakin ang kaalaman ng mga estudyante at magamit nila ito sa pagha-hanap ng mas mabuting trabaho dito o sa ibang lugar at kung sakaling babalik na sila sa Pilipinas. Higit sa lahat, nais ng programa na maturuan ng makabagong teknolohiya ang mga OFWs sa kanilang pakikipag-usap o komunikasyon sa kanilang pamilya sa Pilipinas upang mapalago at mapatatag pa ang maka-Diyos na buhay pamilya nila sa kabila ng kanilang layo sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay na dulot ng pangingibang- bayan.

Higit na Pag-asa Dala ng Panibagong MOU
Sa nakaraang pagdalaw ng Presidente Gloria Macapagal Arroyo sa South Korea, kanyang pinir-mahan ang panibagong Memorandum of Under-standing (MOU) upang maipagpatuloy ang mas maigting na relasyon sa pagitan ng South Korea at Pilipinas. Ito rin ay isang magandang bahagi sa paggunita at pagdiriwang ng ika 60 Anibersaryo ng Bilateral Relations sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at South Korea.
Sa karamihan sa ating mga migranteng Pilipi-nong nandito ngayon sa Korea, ang MOU na ito ay nagdadala ng panibagong pag-asa upang mabi-gyan pa tayo ng pagkakataong makapaghanap-buhay para sa ating pamilya at mga mahal sa bu-hay.
Subalit di rin natin maiiwasan na may mga ilang ispekulasyon o duda ang ilang mga kababayan sa kahusayan at mga layunin ng kasunduang ito base sa mga nakaraang implementasyon ng Employ-ment Permit System (EPS).
Tulad ng pagbasa sa linggong ito, bakit nga ba hindi tanggap ng ilang mga tao si Hesus? Ito ay dahil sa wala silang “bilib” sa Kanya.
Bakit hindi tayo magtiwala sa mga taong nagpa-patupad nito at sa ating sarili, sa halip na magduda at mawalan ng tiwala? Higit sa lahat, bakit hindi mo gawin ang iyong tungkulin at nararapat kabayan upang mas maging maayos ang pagpapatupad ng panibagong MOU na ito? MAGTIWALA KA!!!!!

What’s wrong with Jesus?” wika nga sa Ingles. Ano nga ba ang prob-
lema kay Jesus at hindi siya kinikilala sa sarili niyang bayan? Noong
una, ito ang pumasok sa isip ko. Siguro, ito rin ang unang pumasok sa
isip niyo nang mabasa niyo ang bahaging ito ng Marcos. Pero sa halip
na isipin natin kung ano ang problema kay Jesus, maganda ring ting-
nan kung ano nga ba ang problema sa kanyang mga kababayan.
Iba-iba ang interpretasyon ng mga dalubhasa sa Bibliya sa Ebang-
helyo ngayon. May nagsasabi na upang mas maunawaan ito, kailan-
gang balikan ang ikalimang kabanata ng Marcos. Dito, matutunghayan
natin ang sunud-sunod na himala ni Jesus (pagpapalayas sa ma-
samang espiritu, pagpapagaling ng may sakit, pagbuhay sa isang
namatay). At ang mga himalang ito ay pagpapatunay na ginawa ni
Jesus ang mga himala bilang tugon sa pananampalataya ng isang tao
o ng mga nakikinig sa kanya. Malinaw ito sa kwento ng babaeng labin-
dalawang taon nang dinudugo (Mc 5:25ss).
Mula sa interpretasyong ito, masasabi ngang hindi matanggap si
Jesus ng kanyang mga kababayan dahil kapos sila sa pananam-
palataya. Wika nga, “hindi sila bilib” kay Jesus. Bakit? Dahil nakita nila
kung paano ito lumaki. Kilala nila ang mga magulang nito; at hindi nila
matanggap na ang isang karpintero at isang karaniwang babae ay
magkakaroon ng isang anak na propeta.
Subalit may mga iskolar sa Bibliya na nagsasabing tila may mali
rito. Una, kung nakasalalay ang mga himala sa pananampalataya ng
taong nakatanggap nito, paano na ang kagandahang-loob ng Diyos?
May mga himalang ginawa si Jesus na hindi naman dala ng pananam-
palataya ng isang tao (tulad ng pagpapatahimik niya sa bagyo, pagpa-
palayas niya sa mga demonyong lumulukob sa isang lalaki, at iba pa),
at sa halip, pagkukusa ito ng Diyos. Nagaganap nga ang himala dahil
gusto ito ng Diyos.
Siguro, mas angkop na sabihin na nabubulagan ang mga kababa-
yan ni Jesus sa inaasahan nilang darating na Mesiyas at sa mga hima-
lang gagawin nito. Siguro, maaaring sabihin na ang problema ay nasa
pagtanggap ng mga kababayan ni Jesus sa himala. Hindi matanggap
si Jesus ng kanyang mga kababayan dahil may dala-dala siyang men-
sahe na hindi nila matanggap. Si Jesus ay isang propeta. At bilang
propeta, siya ang tagapagsalita ng Diyos sa kanyang bayan. Tungkulin
ng isang propeta na ipaalam ang kalooban ng Diyos, ang isalamin at
ipamukha ang nais ng Diyos. Hindi ang gumawa ng sirkus o ng mga
himalang taliwas sa nais ng Ama. At kay Jesus nakilala ang isang
karaniwang karpintero, na datapwat simple, batid naman niya kung
ano ang gusto ng Ama sa Langit.
Mahirap nga namang maniwala sa isang taong kasa-kasama la-
mang nila at mas mahirap tanggapin ang isang taong dala-dala ang
katotohanang bumabagabag sa kanila. Siguro rin, hindi nila matang-
gap na ang mga himalang ginagawa ni Jesus sa kanilang piling ay
SIMPLE lamang. Umaasa sila na ang ipapadala ng Diyos ay isang
EKSTRA-ORDINARYONG tao na gagawa ng mga BONGGANG hi-
mala. Pero, taliwas si Jesus sa kanilang inaasahan. Sa kanya, ipi-
nakita ng Diyos na kumikilos siya sa mga karaniwang tao at sa karani-
wang mga kaganapan sa buhay. At ito marahil ang dahilan kung bakit
mahirap para sa mga kababayan ni Jesus na tanggapin siya.
Ngayon, bilang natatanging Kristiyanong bansa sa Asya, ordinaryo
na ang maging Kristiyano. Nagpapabinyag tayo dahil kailangan natin
ng “certificate” kapag pumasok sa isang Katolikong paaralan. Sa mga
bahay-bahay natin, karaniwan na ang mga altar at ang mga
“palamuting” simbolo ng pagka-Kristiyano. Balewala na sa atin ang
“ordinaryong” nating pananampalataya. Marami sa atin ang nagigising
at binibigyan ng halaga ang ating pananampalataya kapag nakatang-
gap ng mga himala – ng mga bonggang himala. Subalit, iminumulat
tayo ng Ebanghelyo sa katotohanang hindi karaniwan ang natanggap
natin sa Binyag. Kagandahang-loob ng Diyos ito! Biyaya na nagaga-
nap sa karaniwan at mga pamilyar na sandali. Kumikilos ang Diyos at
naghihimala siya maging sa karaniwan at pamilyar na pangyayari sa
ating mga buhay. At matatanggap lamang natin ng buong puso at
kaluluwa ito kung maniniwala tayo na ang araw-araw na buhay ay
isang himalang dapat ipagpasalamat sa Diyos na Panginoon ng mga

Issue: What does the Church teach concerning
Mary’s virginity?
Response: The Church has always professed that Mary was a virgin
“ante partum, in partu, et post partum,” i.e., before birth, during birth,
and after the birth of Christ. Mary conceived Jesus in her womb “by
the power of the Holy Spirit” without loss of her virginity. She re-
mained a virgin in giving birth to Jesus; His miraculous birth did not
diminish her virginal integrity but sanctified it (Vatican II, Lumen
Gentium, no. 57). Following the birth of Jesus, Mary remained a vir-
gin for the rest of her earthly life, until such time as she was taken
body and soul into heaven, where she reigns as Queen (Lumen Gen-
tium, no. 59).
Discussion: In examining Mary’s Perpetual Virginity, or any Church
teaching, the most fundamental questions is: “How do we know this is
true?” We do not gain such knowledge through intuition or through
merely human effort or reasoning, but from the obedience of faith that
we give to God who has revealed the truth to us (Vatican II, Dei Ver-
bum, nos. 2, 5).
In examining this revealed truth, we must acknowledge that Tradition
and Scripture make up a single sacred deposit of the Word of God,
which is entrusted to the Church (Dei Verbum, no. 10). We must fur-
ther recognize that the task of safeguarding (cf. 1 Tim. 6:20) and inter-
preting the Word of God, oral or written, has been entrusted to the
Magisterium alone (Dei Verbum, no. 10; 2 Thess. 2:15).
The doctrine of Mary’s Perpetual Virginity brings to light two distinct
errors that are rooted in misconceptions concerning the nature of di-
vine Revelation. The first error is the “sola Scriptura” approach that
collapses the Word of God to merely that which has been written,
thereby denying the role of Tradition and the Magisterium. Curiously,
such a position, developed during the Protestant Reformation, is not
taught in Scripture. Indeed, the testimony of Scripture conveys other-
wise. For example, in 2 Thessalonians 2:15, St. Paul exhorts his fol-
lowers to “stand firm and hold fast to the traditions [they] were taught,
either by an oral statement or by a letter. . . .” In 1 Timothy 3:15, St.
Paul further states that the Church is “the pillar and bulwark of the
truth.” Sola Scriptura constitutes an attempt to understand Scriptures
apart from Mother Church, even though the Church was “alive” for
decades before the New Testament in its entirety was written, and for
centuries before the Church definitively determined which texts were
inspired.
The other error is an approach that fails to accord the necessary weight
and dignity to Scripture. This error can manifest itself in many forms,
often so as to render “truth” an elusive, if not illusory, reality (see St.
Pius X, Pascendi Dominici Gregis, nos. 3, 24-26). An example would
be an inclination to relegate the infancy narratives to the level of pious
fables, as additions that are merely the product of the so-called second
or third generation Church. Against such an “enlightened” modern
interpretation of Scripture, Vatican II, citing the encyclical Providen-
tissimus Deus by Pope Leo XIII, affirms “that the books of Scripture,
firmly, faithfully and without error, teach that truth which God, for the
sake of our salvation, wished to see confided to Sacred Scripture” (Dei
Verbum, no. 11; Catechism, no. 107). The sacred authors consigned to
writing what the Holy Spirit wanted, and no more (Dei Verbum, no.
11; Catechism, no. 106; see also Providentissimus Deus, in which Leo
XIII unequivocally confirms that this is the “ancient and unchanging
faith of the Church”). As if the foregoing reaffirmation of scriptural
inerrancy were not enough, the Council then “unhesitatingly affirms”
the historicity of the Gospels (Dei Verbum, no. 19).
Aside from the relative merits of particular methods of Scripture
study, the simple fact remains that the charism of authentic interpreta-
tion resides with the Magisterium and not the supposed “experts.” Any
scholarship that calls into question established doctrine, or even pro-
duces conclusions in conflict with doctrines affirmed by the Teaching
Church, must necessarily be defective.
In treating Mary’s virginity ante partum, in partu, and post partum, we
see in action “the supremely wise arrangement of God,” whereby
Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium work together under the
action of the Holy Spirit to communicate the truth about Mary to suc-
cessive generations of Christians (cf. Dei Verbum, no. 10).
Conclusion
It is critical to understand Mary’s Perpetual Virginity in light of the
mystery of Christ (Eph. 3:4, 11) and in light of the unfolding of God’s
plan in the fullness of time (Gal. 4:4-5). The special favors granted to
the Mother of God—including permitting a creature’s voluntary par-
ticipation in the “New Creation” to be, in a sense, necessary—are a
mystery of God’s loving providence rather than the inevitable result of
logical deductions concerning the data of divine Revelation. The
meaning of the announcement of the angel Gabriel to Mary about the
virginal conception (Lk. 1:35) is well-summarized by Cardinal
Ratzinger:
Our gaze is led beyond the covenant with Israel to the creation: In the
Old Testament the Spirit of God is the power of creation; He it was
who hovered over the waters in the beginning and shaped chaos into
cosmos (Gen. 1:2); when He is sent, living beings are created (Ps. 104
[103]:30). So what is to happen here to Mary is a new creation: The
God who called forth being out of nothing makes a new beginning
amid humanity: His Word become flesh (Introduction to Christianity,
San Francisco: Ignatius Press, 1990, 206).
Mary’s Perpetual Virginity, then, is not only an exhortation to imitate
Mary’s charity, discipleship, fidelity, continence, etc. (cf. Lumen Gen-
tium, nos. 63-64), but also highlights the uniqueness of the Incarna-
tion, of God’s taking the initiative to recreate the human race through
His Son, the New Adam, Who was really “born of the Virgin Mary.”
We can no more deny the “physicality of Mary’s virginity any more
than we can deny the physicality of Mary’s motherhood. Mary’s Per-
petual Virginity points us unmistakably to the Christological mystery
of the eternal Word’s becoming flesh in Mary’s womb, in the mar-
riage (without commingling) of the human and the divine through
God’s “marvelous condescension” (cf. Dei Verbum, no. 13).

There is nothing more blinding than prejudice. One of the most common prejudices is against what is local and familiar. There is a story told of a Filipino Senator who was in a Five-Star London Hotel. He asked for a bottle of "the best rum you have got." The waiter came back with a bottle of Filipino Rum. The Senator shouted at him and said, "I told you to get me the best - not just local stuff that you buy at any store!" The waiter held his ground. "Sir, you asked for the best rum and this IS the best we can get!" Prejudice is a great block to truth.
There is another story about a traveling circus that was on the outskirts of a village. One evening a fire broke out and there was a danger that the fire would spread across the fields of dry stubble to burn the vil-lage itself. The circus manager looked for someone to send to warn the villagers. The only person he could find was the circus clown who was already made-up for his act.
The clown hurried to the village and begged the peo-ple to come to help put out the fire at the circus and also to save themselves from the holocaust. The peo-ple only laughed at him. They thought this was a bril-liant piece of advertising on the part of the manage-ment. The more the clown tried to look serious and beg them to take him seriously the more that they ap-plauded and rolled around in laughter. The harder he tried to tell them that it was no trick the more they laughed at him. Finally the fire did reach the village and burnt it to the ground. Basically, the reason they could not hear the message was that they looked at the man as a clown and this made it impossible for them to hear the truth of what he was saying.
In the story we read in today's Gospel we encounter Jesus probably feeling very like the waiter trying to convince the Senator or the clown tying to convince the villagers. He has come to Nazareth, his own town,
to bring them the good news and the healing that he had brought to the other towns of Galilee. But the message never got a chance. The people rejected the messenger. He was telling them what he told others: the need to change, to be converted, if they wanted to enjoy the fruits of the Kingdom of God. But they did not want to hear that kind of message. So they di-verted from it by focusing on his person. They knew all about him! Who did he think he was anyway? After all, was he not just one of themselves? They knew the carpenter shop that he had worked in, they knew his mother and his relatives. There was nothing that he could teach them. They were frozen in prejudice and there was no way in which his message could melt the ice in their hearts.
One thing that prayer should be doing in our lives is opening our hearts to reality, to truth. To do this it must be unmasking our illusions and melting our prejudices. Unfortunately much of our word-y prayer is directed to reinforcing our make believe world. Once we believe that we know what we want from God, we try to phrase it nicely for him and to keep on demanding it. This process becomes a way of block-ing us from hearing what God might like to say. We might be like the man who prayed for a yellow flower. He got a thorny cactus which he threw out the win-dow. While he ranted about God's failure to answer him the cactus was blooming into a yellow flower out-side. If we are afraid of what he may have to say - as the people of Nazareth were afraid of the challenge to change their attitudes that Jesus was making to them - we keep him and his demands at a distance.
On the other hand, the wisdom of the East has al-ways held that one cannot continue in silence and continue also in prejudice, untruth and in anything

“Huwag mong iiwan ang matagal mo nang kaibigan; karaniwan, ang bago ay di maipapantay sa kanya. Ang pakikipagkaibigan ay parang alak; Lalong tumatanda’y lalong sumasarap.” (Ecclesiastico. 9:10) Magmula sa pag-kabata ang ating mga magulang na ang pinakauna na natin naging matalik na kaibigan sapagkat sila lamang ang unang nakakaintindi sa atin… Noong ako ay nag-aaral pa lamang mayroon na akong matatawag na isang matalik na kaibigan. Maypagkakataon na hindi kami nagkakaintin-dihan subalit hindi naman ito humantong sa matinding hidwaan natural lamang sa kahit kanino ay nangyayari ang ganitong sitwasyon ‘ika nga’ mas lumalalim ang samahan dahil sa nagkakakilalanan ng mabuti sa asal ng bawat isa at upang magkapalagayan ng loob.
Mayroong magkaibigan na halos makakabit na ang kanilang pusod wari mo ay magkapatid ang kung magturingan nagdadamayan, nagtutulungan at palaging magkasama na parang ayaw ng magkahiwalay. Subalit sa hindi inaasahan dumating ang tagpong sila ay may hindi napagkasunduan hanggang sa nauwi sa matinding pagkapuot at galit sa isa’t isa. Hindi naglaon…pumanaw ang isa sa kanila na hindi nalalaman ng kanyang kaibigan. Nang mga sandaling iyon napagtanto ng isa ang mali sa kanyang nagawa at nais ni-yang makita ang kaibigan upang makipag-ayos muli ngunit huli na ang lahat doon na lamang niya nalaman at nakita ang kaibigan na nakahimlay sa loob ng kabaong. Sinisi niya ang kanyang sarili at laking panghihinayang sapagkat hindi man lamang niya nasabi sa kanyang matalik na kaibigan ang katagang “Patawad..!” bago pa ito pumanaw.
Ikaw ba ay mayroong matalik na kaibigan na mahihingian ng payo, kaagapay kung may suliranin? kabalikat kung sa panahon ng pagdarahop at kapigahatian na nasa iyong tabi kung ikaw ay pinanghihinaan o may karamdaman? kaaki-bat sa lungkot at ligaya, tagapagtanggol, kakampi sa lahat ng oras? Siya ba ay iyong pinahahalagahan? Kung mayroon man ipinagpupugay kita sapagkat bihira na lamang ang may ganitong pagtitinginan. Maituturing mo sila na isang kaya-manan tulad ng mamahaling hiyas “Brilyanteng Kaibigan” at dapat ingatan. Napakasarap ng maraming kaibigan saan ka man dako mapadpad ay meron kang kabatian, kausap at masayang nagtatawanan habang nagbibiruan nakakatuwa talaga kung marami kang kakilala. Likas sa ating mga Pilipino ang maging palakaibigan dahil sa asal na ito mahilig din tayo sa mga kasiyahan. Napuna ko ito noong nagbakasyon ako sa lugar ng aking ama sa Tigbauan, Ilo-ilo. akin napan-sin sa tuwing sumasapit ang piyesta doon, disperas pa lamang ay pinaghahandaan na nila ito ng mabuti at iniimbita ang maraming mga kaibigan upang pagsaluhan ang kanilang munting handa. Hindi nila alintana ang puyat, hirap at pagod sa kanilang ginagawa basta mapasaya lamang nila ang kanilang mga bisita at kaibigan. Bale wala rin ang hirap ng iba sa kanila kahit malayo at mahaba ang kanilang nilalakbay na kabundukan makarating lamang sa salo-salo at magkita-kita silang muli upang makipagkamustahan.
“Ang kaibigan ay nagmamahal sa lahat ng panahon At sa oras ng kagipita’y tumutulong.” (Kawikaan17:17) Ang Pilipi-nas at South Korea ay matagal na rin magkaibigan nagsimula ang lahat dekada na ang nakalipas. Noon ay hindi maintindihan ng iba nating kababayan kung bakit kailangan pa na magpadala ng mga magigiting na sundalo ang ating bansa dito sa korea upang tumulong sa pakikidigma nila laban sa dayuhang mananakop. Natapos ang labanan at muli silang nakabungon at umunlad. Sa kasalukuyan nagbunga ang pagtulong ng ating bansa at naging maganda ang relas-yon sa bawat isa. Patuloy pa rin natin silang katuwang sa pakikidigma subalit sa matinding kahirapan naman sa ating bansa. Gunitain natin minsan pa at bigyan ng malalim na kahulugan ang pagtuturingan ng mga magkakaibigan, atin itong ipagpugay at pahalagahan magkakaiba man ng lahi, kultura at wika hindi ito dapat maging hadlang tayo pa rin ay makakaibigan…panatilihin natin ang respeto at paggalang sapagkat ito ang pinakamabisang sandata ng mga makaibi-gan.

1. Proceed to Banpo Park early to provide allowance for time to
locate the area (the Park is relatively new)
2. Upon arrival at Banpo Park, FilCom heads/representatives are
requested to report to the Philippine Embassy tent/booth
for registration of their group
3. Bring hat, raincoat, umbrella or any accessory which you may
deem appropriate to shield you from sunlight or rainfall
4. FilCom participants (except performers and volunteers) are
expected to bring their own food and water. You can bring
picnic mats.
5. Cooking is not allowed in the park.
6. Selling foods and other commercial items is prohibited
7. Do not leave children and personal belongings unattended
8. Do not damage or write on any structure in the Park
9. VERY IMPORTANT : Put your garbage in plastic bags to be
provided by the Embassy then leave the bags in designated
collection areas; otherwise, we will be fined and barred
from using the park in the future

The new Banpo Park is probably the best place in the city to show
off the colorful and lively Filipino culture - one as diverse as the
archipelago itself.
On Sunday, the Philippine Embassy is holding a series of activi-
ties at the recently opened Banpo Park to celebrate the 111th Philip-
pine Independence Day, the 14th Filipino Migrant Workers Day and
the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between both countries.
To bring this festival to fruition, the embassy enlisted the help of
the local Filipino commu-
nity to showcase six of the
most popular street festi-
vals the Philippines has to
offer.
"Lively festivals, with
their energetic and cos-
tumed street dances, are
key tourist attractions in
the Philippines," said Phil-
ippine Ambassador Luis
T. Cruz.
"This year, we will
bring these festivals to
Korea to give the public a
glimpse of the vibrant
history, society and cul-
ture of the Philippines in
hopes of further promot-
ing mutual understanding
between our nations and strengthening people-to-people exchange,"
he added. The featured events will include the Panagbenga, a festival
of flowers; Sinulog, Ati-atihan and Flores de Mayo, religious festi-
vals that underline the importance of Christianity in the Philippines;
Masskarra, a parade of masks; and Kadayawan, a popular thanksgiv-
ing festival in Southern Philippines.
Approximately 300 members of the Filipino community from all
over Korea have volunteered to take part in the street dances, train-
ing for two months under professional instructors sent by the Philip-
pine National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
The street dances will begin at 1:30 p.m. and last for about one
and a half hours.
A mass for the Filipino community will open the festivities in the
morning while a brief recognition ceremony for Korean individuals
and organizations that actively help Filipino workers will take place
after the parade of festivals.
The daylong program will also include labor counseling services
by the Korea Ministry of Labor, a concert by Filipino bands based in
Korea, and free tests and basic medical services by the Seoul Na-
tional University Hospital.
The celebration comes after the state visit of Philippine President

ASEAN-Korea

Summit in Jeju on
June 1-2.

mit, Arroyo and
President Lee
Myung-bak agreed
to intensify and
broaden coopera-
tion as both coun-
tries celebrated the
60th anniversary of
diplomatic rela-
tions.
Philippine Na-
tional Day is celebrated every year on June 12 and the Philippine
Migrant Workers Day, an annual celebration in honor of Filipinos
working abroad, in the month of June.
Other organizations that will provide support for the festivities on
Sunday include the Human Resources Development Corporation,
Korea Exchange Bank, Landbank of the Philippines, Metropolitan
Bank and Trust Company, Western Union and Woori Bank.
The celebration is open to the public.
