Wander through a non-tourist bazaar. Join thousands of Hindu pilgrims descending the ghats into the holy Ganges. Explore the “Golden Triangle” cities of Delhi, Agra (the home of the Taj Mahal) and the Pink City of Jaipur. Marvel at Varanasi, aflame with cremations fires! When you think things cannot be more amazing, we travel back in time to the Camel Fair in Pushkar, where thousands of camels and horses from all over India are bought and sold just as they were in ancient days. Veterans in Paradise (VIP) Thursday, July 12, 1-2:15 This will be a social time to meet other veterans in SWFL. All veterans 60 years of age and older, are encouraged to join us. Come have a cup of coffee and make some new friends. Acrylic Paint Workshop Friday, July 20, 1:15-3:15 This is the place to be for fun and art. We take you step by step (beginners too) through a selected painting with specific instruction and lots of laughs. At the end, voila! You have your very own masterpiece! Brain Games Workshop Wednesday July 18, 10-11 This month we will learn more about games and meditation and how important it is for your brain. Everyone is invited to attend. Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE) Wednesday, July 25, 9:30-12 (by appointment) An experienced volunteer will be on-site to help you with any Medicare or health insurance questions or concerns. Please make an appointment with Bridget in advance. Vote Smart! Meet Your 2018 Ballot Wednesday, July 25, 1:15-2:15 In August, Collier voters will elect candidates for federal, state and county offices and decide local referenda. Come to this program for a jump start on your August ballot and learn how to be a more informed voter. Spanish Tuesdays, 10-11 We are using the Great Courses: Learning Spanish: How to Understand and Speak a New Language Video. Each participant receives a worksheet at each lesson. Stay Fit as You Age Thursdays, 9:30-10:15 Join us for this Great Courses series. Don’t know the moves? We will teach you. If you are new to line dancing come to the Tuesday 2:30 or Thursday 1:00 class to learn the moves. The ballroom dancing session is a great opportunity to get moving with your partner. Great exercise for your heart and it is fun! REMINDER – THE CENTER WILL BE CLOSED, WEDNESDAY, JULY 4TH Bring two (2) light hand weights to all chair exercise-strength video classes. Please wear comfortable clothing and good supportive athletic shoes. Bring your current project, paint and brushes to water color painting on Tuesdays while socializing with other water color painters. GAMES & CARDS - Friday afternoon 1-3:30. Our current list of activities include: Bridge, Cards, Marbles, Chess, Cribbage, Progressive Rummy, Pinochle, Mah Jongg, Hand and Foot and Jig Saw Puzzles. Beginners to advanced players are welcome. Be sure to sign-up in Copilot in advance.

ART CLASSES Every Monday 10-12 The entire month of July will be Mixed Media Art – these consist of creative workshops that allow students to explore new techniques using a variety of materials, such as paint, pastels, collage and textured mediums. Students will work on canvas and paper surfaces. Each session is independent of the others; however, students who attend regularly may develop a piece over several weeks as opposed to a new project for each class.
