Helping you to gain a healthy lifestyleKirklees Health Trainers work alongside people with long-term health conditions - and their carers – to show them how to manage their health better and improve their ability to care for themselves. They also help them to find more information, help and support.

“I feel great” Kirklees Council provides many services to help older people and people with disabilities to continue to live in their own home. These include Carephone equipment and technology so they can call for help at any time in an emergency.

If you have the technology installed in your home, you choose which relatives, friends or carers you would like to be contacted in an emergency.

You don’t need to be an expert, you just need to care. SharedLivescarerssupportpeoplewithdisabilities,mentalhealthneeds,andolderpeopleeitherintheirownhomeorintheotherperson’shome.Thiscanbepermanentlyorforashorttime.
