Pastor Mary Anne’s Message …
I recently read an article that reminded me that the Jordan River is the main source for both the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. The Dead Sea is devoid of life, while the Sea of Galilee is brimming with life – fish and plants alike! The same source but two strikingly different results! We all have been given the same spirit in Christ Jesus and sometimes the results are the good fruits of the spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kind-ness, self-control, generosity, gentleness and faithfulness. Sometimes however, we do not see any fruits or we see the opposite of the fruits. What happens to the source? In the case of the Dead Sea there is no outlet; the water stays in the sea and it becomes stagnant and putrid. We can also become stagnant and pu-trid in our faith life. But the source of the spirit is ever present and it should flow through us and from us resulting in those wonderful fruits of the spirit! Let the refreshing water of God’s grace flow in and from your life this summer!
In Christ,
Pastor Mary Anne

Thank you Pastor Mary Anne, church council, and Concordia for honoring
me with the special commemorative plaque, the beautiful flower arrange-
ment, the lovely corsage, the special reception hosted by the Null family,
and the beautiful cakes! Thank you to our choir for singing especially for my
day. The Anthem was beautiful! Also thanks to those who gave me flowers
and cards. I will treasure these many years of serving Concordia.
I love you all. My day was very special. —Phyllis Keck
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Thank you to all who prayed for Betty and
sent expressions of sympathy. Although we thought we’d have her much
longer, the joy of knowing we will all see her again is a great comfort. God
Bless You, as He blessed us with Betty. —Jack and Mimi Bippus

Concordia Community Pancake Breakfast
As part of our continuing mission with God in caring for His creation, WE are going to serve a monthly FREE pancake breakfast for our community members in need of a good breakfast and fellowship. We will offer this breakfast on the first Saturday of each month from 8:30 – 10:30. In order to accomplish this we are asking everyone to help. We would like 2 or more families to sign up, as a team, and be our monthly sponsor. This means you would purchase the food needed and host the breakfast for the month you volun-teered to do. If making pancakes is not your thing on a Saturday morning…that’s OK. We will provide a cook, but we still ask you to help host the breakfast. If we all participate it means only making a commitment every couple years! A sign-up sheet for 2016 is posted in the West Narthex. A shopping list…less than $40…is available also. Please direct any questions to Cheryl Milbourne, Wayne Hoffman or Pastor Mary Anne.
