PILGRIMAGE OF FAITH
We are getting closer to reaching our parish goal. To
date 223 parishioners have contributed a total of
$93,426.00 for an average gift of $418.95. This is
100% of our Diocesan Goal and 88.3% of our Parish
Goal and 93.4% of our overall goal. Any funds donated now
will come back to the parish as non-taxable income. We
thank all who have contributed to date and encourage all
parishioners to participate in this program which is vital to our
Diocese and Parish. It’s not too late to participate. Please
pick up a blank package from the ledge in the foyer.
WORLD YOUTH DAY—CALGARY OPPORTUNITY
The Diocese of Calgary is putting on a World Youth Day at
Home event on July 26, 27 and 28th in Cochrane Alberta! This
event is open to youth ages 14-35 and costs $25 if you register
before June 30th, or $35 after. Please contact Andie for more

A BIG Thank You to everyone who helped make the Yard Sale
for Bicycles for Humanity a huge success. We could not do
this without the generosity of the parishioners here. We raised
over $9,000!
PASTORAL APPOINTMENTS
The following Pastoral Appointments are effective August 1,
2013:
Fr. Conrado Beloso is appointed rector of the Cathedral of
Mary Immaculate (Nelson) and pastor of Sacred Heart Mission
(Kaslo) and Sacred Heart Mission (Proctor).
Fr. James Ratcliffe is appointed pastor of Holy Child Parish
(Summerland).
Fr. Neil Lustado is appointed pastor of Christ the King Parish
(Oliver) and Our Lady of Lourdes Mission (Okanagan Falls).
Fr. Cerlouie Jimenez is appointed pastor of St. Edward Parish
(Winfield) and Holy Spirit Parish (Kelowna).
OTHER NEWS:
Fr. Gerald Sekanga will study canon law at St. Paul's Univer-
sity, Ottawa beginning in September 2013.
Fr. Ferdinan Nalitan will return to his home Archdiocese of
Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. Father Ferdinan has completed a
five year appointment in our Diocese.

As the year draws to a close we can
reflect with a grateful heart for all
the wonderful women who have
shared their time and talents
throughout this past year. There were many
worthwhile endeavours, but perhaps the baby
shower for baby Cally this past week, was in-
deed the highlight of the year. To quote Bl.
Teresa of Calutta: “To truly live our Faith we
have to reveal Christ, this therefore, is what
everyone expects from us: that our Christianity
be real”. For the women of St. Charles Cradle
life is affirmed ~ and hope renewed ~ and our
hearts are enlarged. God Bless you! We wish everyone a safe and happy summer!

The Society of St Vincent de Paul has some funds
available to send children between the ages of six
and eighteen to summer camps during July and
August. If your family needs some financial help
so that your son or daughter can take part, phone

will call you back. All requests are confidential.

MONEY FOR THE BUS
A reminder that Fr. Pat has matching funds for
the bus. If you are interested in supporting
Immaculata High School, this is a way that you
can double your money!
You can make your donations out to Immacu-
lata Regional High School and submit them to the parish of-
fice or place an envelope in the collection basket marked for the
new bus.

Carmelites. This is a lay group of men and women, single, mar-
ried or widowed whose lives are dedicated to prayer while liv-

FRIENDS IN FAITH MINI GOLF
Friends in Faith is a catholic ministry for singles, for those that
are widowed, never married, separated or divorced, ages 35 and
above. On Saturday June 15th Friends in Faith will be meeting
at 1 p.m. at 19 Greens, located at 2050 Campbell Road to play
mini golf and spend time socializing together. The cost is $13
plus tax for rentals and to play 19 holes. Also, join us after mini
golfing for snacks and refreshments. Contact Kolleen O'Shea

Friends in Faith is also looking for enthusiastic and dependable
singles to join the core team to help organize, plan and host

KELOWNA RIGHT TO LIFE
Our Pennies for Life Fund has reached $2,198.09 We’re slowly
reaching 1/4 million pennies! Thank you for your continued
support, nickels and dimes are helping us get there!

KATERI GROUP HIKE meets next on Sunday, June 30, to
walk the Kettle Valley Railway Trail. Only Trestle 3 is closed
for repairs so we will start from the Myra Canyon entrance by
Trestle 18.
Meet in ICC parking lot at 10:30 am (note earlier time for sum-
mer months) for car pooling.
We will walk for an estimated two hours, pausing as the group
decides. Difficulty level: EASY
All are welcome. Come and join us in taking in this gloriously
beautiful vista of God's creation.

CANADIAN FOOD FOR CHILDREN
As the school year comes to an end, we ask the school children
to save their partly used scribblers, crayons, etc. for the children
in poor countries. Several schools enthusiastically fill many
boxes of used school supplies for CFFC. Call Rosemary 778-

you would like envelopes please check the box on the reverse.
Envelopes will be assigned and placed on the ledge in the foyer
for pick up. The label on the envelopes will have your name
on it, the number identifies you and a tax receipt will be sent to
you at the address you registered with.

at St Pius X Church starting at 5:30 pm. The mass is followed

3:30 p.m. on the 4th Sunday of the month at
St. Theresa’s, Rutland.
Perpetual Adoration Chapel Group at ICC would
like to request anyone who will be willing to spend
at least one hour a week in our Adoration Chapel

need more people who are willing and generous for
night time Adoration from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
