What’s Inside
From the Desk of the DOM:
THE TRUE BREAD FROM HEAVEN
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life.” John 6:35
A diet of worldly pleasure, covetousness after material possessions, and self-exalting prestige can never satisfy the spiritual hunger that plagues mankind today. It is totally lacking in the things that really give spiritual health and strength.
In Australia there is a type of clover fern called the nardoo plant. The spores of it can be made into bread. However, it contains no proteins, carbohydrates, or vitamins. Those who depend on it for food can fill their bellies but eventually die because it has none of the essentials that sustain life.
Likewise, in the spiritual realm, feeding on the “food” of this world will never ultimately satisfy. There is pleasure in sin, but only for a season (Heb.11:25). If we continue in it, we will die eternally in hell (Rev.21:8). There is no adequate substitute for Jesus Christ, the true bread of life. He is Manna from above, the only source of real nourishment for the hungry heart. J.C. Ryle, the great Christian writer says, “Our Lord would have us know that He Himself is the appointed food of man’s soul.” We often talk and express concern for the millions of physically malnourished people of the world. Far worse than that are the billions of spiritually malnourished people that fill the nations of our world.
Through the atoning work of Christ on the cross and His continual mediatorial work in heaven, we constantly receive His grace and peace. In Him our souls are filled with the blessed rich food of heaven. There is a wonderful invitation in Scripture to which anyone and everyone may obey, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Ps.34:8) By faith, you can come and feed on the Bread of Heaven, even Jesus.

What’s Going on in Our Churches
Happy Birthday &
Happy Anniversary
Many years ago in the city of Boston, Massachusetts a businessman by the name of Edward Kimball led a young man who was highly uneducated to Jesus Christ. One of the verses that Mr. Kimball used says, "Follow me and I will teach
you how to fish for people." Mr. Moody was a country boy. He came into the big city of Boston to find work and to make his fortune, at least that's what he said. But, one day he met the secret of all of life; he met Jesus Christ. He didn't hear a preacher. He didn't attend a church service. Rather the owner of the shoe store, in which the young D.L. Moody worked, took him to the back of the store and led the 21-year-old young man to the feet of Jesus Christ. Mr. Moody, in turn, led hundreds of thousands of people to the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ over the next 50 years, all across America and the UK and Europe. This all started when one businessman took a young employee, opened up the New Testament, used two or three Bible verses, and led the young man to open his heart to Jesus Christ and find eternal life. God could use you the same way to reach your world and through those you reach, hundreds of thousands of people. Begin today! God Bless, Bro. Anthony

The BBA Disaster Relief feeding unit wishes to express their thanks to those that very generously contributed to the DR fund after the tornado in Tushka. We will restock our supplies and be ready for the next disaster. We saw a great outpouring of love and generosity from churches and individuals all around the Tushka area during the week we were there. We received calls from all over and as far away as Van Alstyne, Texas from people that wanted to come and help in some manner. They were willing to do anything just so they could help out in some way. Of course, we, the Feeding Unit, could only accept help from trained Disaster Relief people, all the more reason for you to consider being trained in Disaster Relief. I was able to direct most of the people to Emergency Management personnel that could make use of their offers. God was being praised every day and in all directions for what he was working. The Feeding Unit has sent thank you cards to the churches that opened their doors to us and the individuals that were so generous to us but we want to take this opportunity to express thanks to all those in the association that spent hours in prayer for us because that is where the real power is. Through prayers for the DR members, every member of the association becomes a supporter. Thank you once again. Clark Harp, Blue Cap for the BBA Disaster Relief Feeding Unit

We are now ready to start our summer mission program. We are looking forward to our youth groups coming and seeing what the Lord has planned for us this summer through our Bible Day Camps in the RV Parks. Pray that many children will come to know Jesus as their Savior and share with their families. A big thank you to the Johnston/Marshall Association for the mattresses you brought to us. They have really been a big help and let us get rid of a lot of our old mattresses that were in really bad shape. Now all our mattresses match. Thank you so much!! A. D. and Lee DeVore (Lake Chaplains) are really enjoying their ministry here and getting acquainted with everyone. In case you have missed it, their phone number is 316 619 7089 or you can call me here at LTBRM. They have visited several of our churches and hope to visit many more in the coming months. God Bless, Barbara Decker
