Trinity’s Staff

Through Labor Day weekend, we worship together as one church family with one service at 9:30 am. There will be a variety of children’s programs

offered throughout the summer during worship.

Advocacy for Faith Formation - A New Covenant Community

A regular gathering for all those that are involved in Faith Formation (all ages) in their ministry context! Whether you are full-time or part-time staff or volunteer—if you have responsibility for programming

of faith formation—this group is for you! Byers, Central, Grace and Peoples Presbyterian Churches are all a part of this group. Their next gathering will address adult faith formation. You are invited to attend this event on Thursday, June 21 at 9:30 am at Peoples Presbyterian Church. For more information, please contact Stephanie Fritz [email protected].

I would like to extend my deep gratitude for the love and support that Trinity's congregation has shown me, especially over the past 10 months as I have completed an internship. I also want to thank all of those that gave me cards, gifts, prayed for me and were quick to give encouragement. I am humbled by all that I have received from my

Trinity family. It is through all of you that I have a solid foundation on which to enter the ministry. Thank you again! God bless each and everyone of you.

Denise Shannon

NEW TO TRINITY? Helping people to worship God is important to us. We believe that worship is not a passive receiving, but an active encounter with Jesus who stoops to meet us as we worship. The Mostly Liturgical Worship Service at 9:00 am uses liturgy, hymns, worship songs, and silence to guide us in the worship of God. The 10:35 am Church From Scratch Worship Service blends all different types of music, arts, liturgy and free-form worship to help guide newcomers and experienced alike in the worship of God. During the Summer and on Family Worship Sunday, selected Sundays throughout the year, we come together as one worshiping family at 9:30 am.

A Nursery, (downstairs) is available for children two and under at both worship hours. A “Family Room” on the right side of the Sanctuary is available, as well.

Sunday Morning Children’s Christian Education

During the Summer, Children join their families in the Sanctuary for opening worship and “Learning with Our Children”, then proceed downstairs for class. Parents must sign their children in and out of all classes every Sunday and pick them up promptly after worship. The sign-in sheet is located in the main hallway outside the Sanctuary doors; sign-out downstairs in Fellowship Hall.

Adult Christian Education Sunday morning and Midweek opportunities are available; check the calendar or contact Robin Olschner ([email protected]) for details.

Youth Ministries No Sunday School during Summer Worship Schedule - All Youth are encouraged to attend worship at 9:30 am through Labor Day weekend.

Youth Group Gatherings There will be special events scheduled throughout the summer that will be communicated via email

and the bulletin.

Group Sunday, June 24

11 am

Rescheduled from a week ago Thursday, this is a one-time, 90 minute orientation about Trinity, and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding the church. If you are new, or been visiting for a while, and have been considering making Trinity your church home, please join Pastor John in Trinity’s Library today after our worship service.

Do you have a baby monitor that you are no longer using? We have a member of our church who is caring for an elderly family member who could use a monitor to help hear provide better care. Please speak to John Anderson if you have one that you could share.

Hey YOUTH

Come Worship in the Park on Sunday, July 1 at 10:00 am

There will be FOOD afterwards, along with games and fun for

everyone. Following lunch, we will have a brief Youth Meeting. It will be a great time for all of us to come together and catch up.

Hope to see you there!!

Also mark your calendars for “Hike & Hamburgers” on July 8! After worship (approx. 10:45 am), we will go for a hike and then go to the Dempsey home

for lunch.

Another Vacation Bible School is in the books! And what a great event it was! Our little ones were eager to participate and learn more about Jesus, and our amazing volunteers were indispensable. As they say, it takes a village! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of those who gave their time, donated supplies and scholarship funds! You all made a difference!

Stewarding our Faith

Practicing Trust We are on a journey together as we discern God's provision. The Session felt called to propose a spending plan for 2018 that had a projected a funding gap of $43,500. They sensed God leading us to pursue this plan because there wasn't any aspect of our ministry we could afford to cut without undermining the vitality of our church.

But they also felt called to pursue this spending plan because they believed God wanted to teach us something. As they reflected on Scripture, they could not recall a time when God provided all that his people needed before asking them to begin what God wanted to accomplish through them. That isn't how our Father works. Our Father invites us to rely on him for our daily needs. Our Father wants us to learn that we can count on him. So like all of God's people all across the world, we are practicing relying on 'our Father in heaven' for 'this day's bread.' We're watching for how our Father will provide through unexpected savings and unanticipated gifts. Thank you for joining us on this journey, for living expectantly with us. Together, the Holy Spirit is shaping our faith that God can be counted on.

What I Learned About Finances As An Elder As a second year Elder, my participation on the Finance Committee has opened my eyes to the fact that the House of the Lord needs assistance to keep the church financially stable. In order to do this, we need to budget for the church just like we need to budget for our households. In trying to fund all of our endeavors, we budget our money very tight. Our church has financial responsibilities (much like a business) and if not handled correctly it cannot meet its goals. We have many endeavors depending on us. This is why your offering is so important.--Dale Ashton.

Through May 2018, we've received $20,400 less than we've spent.
