Receptionist Needed As we begin to restructure our church offices and reassign duties, we want our front entrance to the parish offices to become a re-ception environment versus a work station area. The position re-quires the role to be that of “Ambassador” for our parish, giving assistance and direction to all who enter. Monday – Friday, 8:00-4:30 – Welcoming phone and customer service presence, basic computer skills and light lifting are involved.
Part-time Accounting With the retirement of Lori Lyons, the parish is in need of a part-time accountant. Parish needs are three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) for approximately 5 hours each day. Skills in accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll set-up (we have a third party vending process). Our cash-based accounting system is somewhat proprietary - we will train. Please contact Chris Aldinger or Monica Lihs at the parish office at 515-223-4577, [email protected] or [email protected] with cover letter and experience history.
PLEASE NOTE There will be NO adoration on
Wed. July 4th due to the holiday.

From Msgr. Frank Chiodo
Friends,
Congratulations to Mr. Paul Comito who was elected grand knight for the Knights of Colum-
bus. We thank again Mr. Jim O’Donnell for his outstanding leadership this past year. Welcome
back Paul.
Thanks to all who went to the grotto in West Bend last Saturday. It was a very hot day, but the
pilgrimage was very inspiring to all. Thanks to Kim Lehman for her coordinating the event.
Welcome to our parish seminarian, Massimiliano “Max” Carsen who has completed two years of theological studies in
Rome. He is speaking this weekend—and did last weekend—at our Masses. His story is compelling and he did a fantas-
tic job in the pulpit. Good things to come!! We are proud of Max and we assure him of our support and prayers for him.
He will be assisting in Indianola this summer and returns to Rome in September. He is the son of Tim and Margarita
Carsen. He is the grandson of our dear friends Tony and Rose Pigneri. Tony is one of the “giants” of our parish. A typi-
cal southside Italian Tony was larger than life in his love for St. Anthony’s.
Have a blessed week.
