Special Offering Today Cesar Talavera is a medical student in Nicaragua. Today we will be taking a Special Offering for his medical school expenses. Cesar has been instrumental in helping our mission teams, alongside Omar, in translation and organizing our teams. His family always opens their home to our teams for cookouts and gatherings. They continually extend to us great hospitality. Cesar helped take great care of Rebecca and Robby during each of their monthly visits. Cesar played a vital role for the Taylor family in Lola's adaption. He truly has a servant’s heart and we would like to help him with some of his medical school expenses.

Almost 500 Meals Served... VBS Week

How do you thank the women who cooked so many meals night after night at the First Place kitchen? How do you wash so many dishes? How do you bake dessert after dessert? It takes a lot of great people to get the job done. Thanks to our cooks, Janet Estey, Janet Williamson, Carol Smith, Pat Swank, Tam Schuller and Linda Bozick. Without Fred Millet and Bob Schuller we would have no clean dishes day after day. All desserts were coordinated by Gail Laufer and then donated by ladies of the church---thanks for making a terrific week for our Bible School families. The kitchen crew is the best! Myrna Yoder and Marcia Millet

Costa Rica Trip Our trip to Costa Rica, Nov 18-23. Cost is approx $1000 per person. If you are interested or would like more information, please sign up on the clipboard in the Gathering room or at First Place. Brett Bogan: [email protected]

United Methodist Women Mission Moments

When we serve a meal to children we lead them in a grace. This is new to many of them. So simple, to recognize God in their lives with the goodness of food.
