From Fabric A, fussy cut:two 12” x 42-1/2” strips (or cut the length of the pinwheel rows after they are constructed)
From Fabric B, cut:three 5-3/4” x 42-1/2” strips, each strip centered over a row of houses
From each of Fabrics C-F, cut:three 3-1/2” x WOF strips. Subcut: forty-nineEasy Angle Triangles
From each of Fabrics G-V, cut:one 3-1/2” x WOF strip. Subcut: ten or fourteen Easy Angle Triangles, for a total of one hundred ninety-six. Tip: cut fourteen each from nine fabrics and ten each from seven fabrics.

- Read through all of the instructions before beginning.- All of the seam allowances are 1/4” unless otherwise noted.- Press seam allowances open unless otherwise noted. - Width of fabric (WOF) is equal to at least 42” wide.- Right sides together has been abbreviated to RST.- Remember to measure twice and cut once!

From Fabric W, cut:seven 4-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew together, end-to-end, and set aside for the borders. From Fabric X, cut:two 3-1/4” x WOF strips. Subcut: eight 3-1/4” x 6-1/2” rectanglesseven 2-1/2” x WOF strips for the binding
Step 1 Match a light triangle with a print triangle. Sew right sides together on the diagonal to make a half-square triangle (HST). Make a total of two hundred four HSTs that measure 3-1/2” square. Press toward the darker print.
Assembling the Blocks
Step 2 Sew two matching HSTs together as shown. Press toward the darker triangle. Make two identical pairs. Sew together to make a pinwheel block. Twist the center to pop a few threads, allowing the seam allowances to spin around the center. Repeat to make a total of fourty-nine pinwheel blocks.
Step 3 Sew nine pinwheel blocks into a row, pressing the seams all one direction. Repeat to make a total of fi ve pinwheel rows. The rows should measure 6-1/2” x 54-1/2”.

Step 4 Sew one 3-1/4” x 6-1/2” Fabric X rectangles to opposite sides of a pinwheel block. Press toward the yellow rectangles. Make four.
Step 5 Sew the Step 4 units to the right and left sides of the Dolly Jean panels. Sew one pinwheel row between panels and to the top and bottom edges of the quilt center. Press toward the panels.

Step 6 Piece the house strips together to make a 54-1/2” long strip. Trim to have complete houses on both ends of the strip. If need be, take a small seam between one or more houses to achieve the right length. Make two house strips.
Step 7 Sew the pinwheel rows, the Dolly Jean rows and the house rows together to complete the quilt top. Press the seams toward the house and Dolly Jean strips.
Step 8 Measure and trim two borders the width of the quilt. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press toward the borders. Repeat for the side borders.Your quilt top is complete! Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy!
