Welcome to the latest edition of Just Listed, our monthly e-magazine that showcases the latest properties to be marketed by Gibbs Gillespie. As I write, the weather is warming and gardens and hedgerows are breaking into colour. Easter is already behind us and Spring is clearly in the air! Spring is traditionally a positive time for the property market and 2012 looks set to be no exception. In the sales market, the situation in London and the Home Counties remains buoyant and sensibly priced property is attracting good interest and firm sales. Prices achieved are, in fact, at higher levels than they were
before the “credit crunch” and now is a good time to be moving. The private rental sector is also very buoyant with strong demand although there are some signs of a levelling out of rental values. At Gibbs Gillespie we are very positive about the market. We see strong activity for the foreseeable future with prices increasing where supply is insufficient to meet demand. As always, correct pricing coupled with great marketing are keys to a successful transaction and our experienced teams will be pleased to advise you on maximising the result in your own specific situation.

While planting should still be the mainstay of any garden or outdoor space; after all this is what still connects us as human beings to nature, you cannot beat some well-placed pieces of garden art to instantly transform an otherwise uninteresting space into somewhere that calls to you to be there. After all, it’s what we do inside the house, why should the garden be any different?
Such things as sculpture, planters, well-made bird tables, decorations and furniture, create punctuation marks throughout the garden that make one wish to pause or remain, enabling us to appreciate every last drop of beauty the garden has to offer.
