This is Justin Biebers first albums. In this image we see him as young and innocent.

His hair gives off this youthful persona due to it all shaping his face and making the audience, especially young girls, find him ‘cute’.

The way he is dressed in the picture adds to the representation of his childish appearance because of the hoody and the hat.

The way he’s staring into the camera is a innocent pure look giving the audience another reason to love him.

The writing on the album is childlike due to the ‘bubble’ font.

Clothing is more mature yet still very flashy, gives off idea that he is being styled by the record company to give off the image that they are working towards.

Hands placed in pocket – makes audience feel like hes growing up due to change in body language and seems more relaxed.

Hair is more styled and cleaner. emphasizing the ‘perfect image’ that is trying to be created. Posing to camera, attracts young girls as he is ‘looking at them’.

Writing is less childish giving off the idea him growing.

More simple clothing then flashier like previous album.

• A perfect example of Richard Dyers idea of a synthetic star, where the company basically is him. Unlike Ed Sheeran, an organic star, Justin doesn't’t cerate his own music.

• He’s been constructed by music company

• Nothing about him is organic.
