Juvenilia (July-September’17)
Principal’s Message
Social behavior is determined by group dynamics and a strong value system.
Approved social behavior or, as we say, code of conduct in a civilized society is often
distinguished by social interaction and co-operation. Children emulate adults in this
respect and it is the responsibility of each and every adult to transmit that message
which allows the child to understand what right behavior is and what is wrong, what is
good and what is bad, what is appropriate and what is unacceptable. In the context of how
children behave outside their restricted environment, it is how they present themselves
socially is a mark of upbringing that determines it.
Our children have brought laurels to our school all along. They have participated in
International events as well as national events, giving them an exposure to the wider
world. Children have the competitive spirit and drive which is a good sign for further
self-development. Engaging in various activities gives them a mileage which again sets
their social behavior norms in a positive way. Our children have to see the bigger picture
and not get embroiled in a cocoon of petty wishes and dreams. Their world tomorrow is a
bigger one and perhaps a better one, incomprehensible to us and they must be ready for it
in order to shape their tomorrow.
Juvenilia is always a window of the school which highlights the notable events of the
period. It gives us gladness in our hearts to see our children performing well outside as
representatives of DPS Numaligarh in varied platforms of scholastics, dance, music, games,
debates and more.

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
“Everything that begins must end. Every end paves the way for a new beginning.
Make your peace with that and all will be well.”
Words can never suffice the pain and loss suffered by DPS Numaligarh
at the untimely demise of their Senior Accountant, Shri Jiten Roy, who
passed away on 28th
July 2017, at the age of 37, after battling several
months with cancer. He was one of the most dedicated members of the
school and is fondly remembered by everyone who ever came in touch
with him for his ‘never say no’ attitude when it came to matters of his
service. In this short span of time he has taught that ‘it is not important
how long we live but it is the quality of life we live, that matters.’ The
fighter’s spirit in him is perhaps what his family comprising of his wife
and his four years old son derive their strength from, in order to cope
with the harshest reality of their lives. The DPSN family held an All
Faith Prayer Service on 11th
August to pray for their departed member
who has left behind a legacy of extreme positivity and a vacuum that can
never be fulfilled.
