Providing a facing direction measurement system of a sensor with another
Use metrics such as Signal Strength, Packet error rate to estimate orientation
Generate MATLAB model to estimate orientation

Assumptions Kids are in close proximity with in 1.5 ft Antenna of the motes are not covered
Project Details Readings were taken at multiples of 90º angles Telos B mote is mounted vertically

PROBLEMS FACED
Omni-directional antenna of telos B needs analysis of radiation pattern
Multipath problems resulted in erroneous results
Packet error rate is very high even at shorter range like 1feet
RESULTS
Matlab model takes the radiation pattern and RSSI values to calculate angle of orientation which agrees with experimental setup
GOALS NOT ACHIEVED
Unable to include packet error rate metric Experiment was not conducted by varying
the height Experiment was conducted only indoors
