B. THE TERM "CONTRACTOR" AS REFERENCED THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALLMEAN THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TOINTEGRATE, DIVIDE AND/OR SUBDIVIDE ANY AND ALL ASPECTS OF THE WORK BASED ON HIS OPERATION. CORRESPONDINGLY, IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE THAT ALL WORK REQUIRED OR IMPLIED BY THESE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS IS PROVIDED/ FURNISHED AND INSTALLED COMPLETE IN ACCORDANCE WITH INDUSTRY STANDARDS.
C. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFICATION OF ALL EXISTING & NEW CONDITIONS & DIMENSIONS. IF ANY CONFLICTS BETWEEN ACTUAL CONDITIONS & THE DRAWINGSARE FOUND, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IMMEDIATELY. ANY AREA NOT INCLUDED IN THIS CONTRACT DAMAGED BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR OR HIS SUBS SHALL BE RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION BEFORE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION.
D. PRIOR TO STARTING WORK, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EXAMINE THE FULL SET OF DOCUMENTS ASNOTED ON THE SHEET INDEX, AS WELL AS THE SPECIFICATION (PROJECT) MANUAL (IF PROVIDED) & COORDINATE THE WORK OF EACH SECTION WITH THE WORK OF OTHERS. ALL CONTRACTORS(GENERAL & SUB) SHALL COORDINATE THEIR WORK PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. WHERE CONFLICTS APPEAR BETWEEN CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND/OR SPECIFICATIONS CONSULT WITH THE ARCHITECT AND/OR ENGINEER(S) AND OBTAIN RESOLUTION IN WRITING.
E. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM WITH THE LATEST EDITION OF THE APPLICABLE BUILDING CODES WITH ALL SUPPLEMENTS, THE LATEST ADOPTED EDITION OF THE BUILDING CODES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ACCESSIBILITY CODE, NFPA 101 AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL CODES AND ORDINANCES AND ALL AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
F. ANY ADJUSTMENT TO THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, OR CHANGE INCONTRACT TIME SHALL BE MADE BY WRITTEN ADDENDUM OR CHANGE ORDER BY THE OWNER AND MUST BE SIGNED BY THE OWNER AND CONTRACTOR.
G. UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AND PAY FOR ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND UTILITY SERVICES AND ALL OTHER ITEMS AND SERVICES REQUIRED TO FULLY EXECUTE THE WORK REQUIRED BY THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
H. UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, ALL MATERIALS, COMPONENTS, EQUIPMENT AND SIMILAR ITEMS TO BE INCORPORATED IN THE WORK SHALL BE NEW AND SUITABLE FOR THE INTENDED USE. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY AVAILABILITY OF FINISHES, EQUIPMENT, AND SIMILAR ITEMS SPECIFIED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO ORDERING SUCH ITEMS AND COORDINATE THE ACTUAL ORDERED ITEMS WITH THE CONSTRUCTIONFOR PROPER ACCOMMODATION.
I. CONTRACTOR MAY NOT SUBSTITUTE ANY 'EQUIVALENT' PRODUCTS WHERE 'OR EQUIVALENT' OR 'OREQUAL' IS DESIGNATED, WITHOUT APPROVAL OF THE OWNER THROUGH THE ARCHITECT. ALL PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN STRICT CONFORMANCE WITHMANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.
J. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PRACTICES FORPROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE EXECUTION OF WORK CONSISTENT WITH INDUSTRY-ACCEPTED PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF GOVERNING AUTHORITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, OSHA.
K. PATCH ALL FINISHES WHERE DISTURBED BY THE WORK & WHERE UNFINISHED SURFACES HAVE BEEN EXPOSED BY DEMOLITION. PROTECT ALL EXPOSED AREAS FROM MOISTURE PENETRATION.
L. GENERAL CONTRACTOR MUST REVIEW AND APPROVE SHOP DRAWINGS PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL TO ARCHITECT/ENGINEER. SUBMITTALS WHICH DO NOT CONTAIN THE CONTRACTOR'S SHOP DRAWINGSTAMP OR HAVE BEEN MERELY "RUBBER STAMPED" SHALL BE RETURNED WITHOUT REVIEW.
M. CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS SHALL BE CLOUDED ON SHOP DRAWINGS OR REQUESTED IN WRITING.
