KAHOOT! Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform, used as educational technology in schools and other
educational institutions. Its learning games, "Kahoots", are multiple-choice quizzes that allow user
generation and can be accessed via a web browser.
Kahoot! can be used to review students' knowledge, for formative assessment, or as a break from
traditional classroom activities. Kahoot! also includes trivia quizzes.
Kahoot! was designed for social learning, with learners gathered around a common screen such as
an interactive whiteboard, projector or a computer monitor. The site can also be used through
screen-sharing tools. The game design is such that the players are required to frequently look up
from their devices. The gameplay is simple; all players connect using a generated game PIN shown
on the common screen , and use a device to answer questions created by a teacher, business leader,
or other person. These questions can be changed to award points. Points then show up on the
leaderboard after each question.

KAHOOT!
Kahoot is a game-based response platform. This website gives teachers the ability to create
quizzes and surveys about any subject area. Teachers can use ready-made Kahoots that have
been created by others. Students then have the capability to answer questions through a variety
of devices and using colors and shapes to connect to the answer. The website even tracks student
achievement by looking at what the student did during the Kahoot, as well as overall
achievement while logged in.

POSSIBLE PRACTISES OF KAHOOT WHEN
TEACHING
I use Kahoot as revising the topics after teaching my lesson.
Also, I use it as homework. I want students to prepare their own questions
about the topic on Kahoot. I want them to send me the links and I grade them
from this.
Especially after lessons, each student wants me to open Kahoot that they
prepared do it increases their interest in lessons.

ADVANTAGES OF KAHOOT
It is free.
It makes learning fun.
It requires minimum technical expertise for creating quiz, surveys and discussions.
It can be used for learners of all ages and for all subjects.
It creates a motivating and competitive environment.
The back ground music adds a touch of excitement.
At the end of the quiz, it generates a report with details about the participants’ response to each
question. The report spreadsheet can be downloaded and is a useful analysis tool for the teachers.
It helps teachers to analyze students’ level of understanding of the topic under discussion and provides an
insight about topics to reteach, in real time.
The teacher can also share the results with students using google drive or social media.

DISADVANTAGES OF KAHOOT
Cannot put questions in order.
Students have to have an internet connection and a smartphone/tablet.
The picture comes a bit after the question.
The answers can only be true or false, yes or no, or multiple choice. This can
be a limitation.
Since students receive more points for quicker answers, it can emphasize
speed over substance.
