November 2013 PTSA Newsletter Rep. Cynthia Thielen's Message/Wreath Making Page 11

From Representative Cynthia Thielen 50th District (Kailua, Kaneohe Bay)

Have you ever thought about traveling in space? “Pioneering the Future in Paradise” was the theme of Hawaii’s 2013 Aero-space Summit held on Oct. 8 at the State Capitol. Much of the all-day meeting focused on encouraging students and young people to pursue

careers in aeronautics.

Have you ever dreamt of flying in a space craft? Discovering a distant planet? Developing a new missile or satellite program? Launching a space tourism business?

As guest speaker Apollo 11 Astronaut, Dr. Buzz Aldrin, said at the Summit, “pioneering the Space Frontier is our next giant leap.”

Without a doubt, our younger generation will be the ones to “reach for the stars” through re-search, creative engineering, and exploration beyond our wildest dreams.

Visit http://aerospacehawaii.info for more information about the Summit and Aerospace Hawaii.

With warmest aloha,

Representative Cynthia Thielen
