The Mission of the Kaleidoscope Academy is to

engage middle school students in their learning through a

collaborative process that follows Best Practices as outlined by the

National Middle School Association’s This We Believe, the National Association of Secondary School Principals Breaking Ranks in the Middle, and identified skills

from the Framework for 21st Century Skills.  The two

underlying curricular themes in Kaleidoscope Academy are

technology and the fine arts.  These themes are the foundation

for the charter school and are woven into all core content classes, offering students a

broader exposure to technology or the fine arts.  These themes

allow us to better meet the individual needs and interests of

our unique population, while better preparing them for a technology rich 21st Century

career.

Student Quotes"One thing I like about Kaleidoscope is the fact that you can

choose two music classes instead of one. It was hard to choose which one I wanted to play until Kaleidoscope came along and I did not have to choose between them."

-2008 Student

“I really enjoy the technology and art based learning that Kaleidoscope offers me!”

-Polina 2011 Student
