Rei is one of the most influential figures in today’s global creative industry, named to Creativity Magazine’s annual 'Creativity 50' as well as one of the 'Top 25 Most Creative People in Advertising' by Forbes Magazine. With broad international experience in Asia, Europe and the US, alongside an unusually diverse background in advertising, design and technology, Rei brings a unique perspective to AKQA.

JAMES HILTON

James has been the driving force behind the growth of AKQA into a business fuelled by innovation and creative thinking. Since co-founding AKQA in 1995, James has grown into one of the world’s most widely respected creative directors. In 2010, he was included among the world’s 50 most influential and inspiring personalities, alongside creative peers such as Jonathan Ive from Apple.

Duan is a leading industry creative talent with over 15 years’ experience. Since joining AKQA in 2000, he has worked across a diversity of clients – including Xbox, Nissan and Nike – on projects ranging from interface design to global brand activations. Duan has won a multitude of international awards and built a creative team passionate about delivering world firsts.

NICK TURNER

Nick Turner was appointed Executive Creative Director in 2011, after over a decade at AKQA. He has been instrumental in helping AKQA become the world’s most awarded agency in its field. Nick has developed a reputation for applying his expertise and passion meticulously to produce meaningful digital experiences for the world’s top brands.

JOHAN VAKIDIS

Johan is an integrated creative director, designer by default, and considered one of the top digital marketing experts in China. Previously National Executive Creative Director for OgilvyOne China, Johan has won numerous awards including Cannes, One Show and Clio. He has brought his winning mentality to AKQA and leads the creative offering from our Shanghai office.

BEN JONES

Ben has built his global reputation as a technology innovator by consistently delivering the seemingly impossible for AKQA clients. He has made a huge contribution to AKQA’s culture of merging creativity and technology. Ben believes data and algorithms will define marketing’s future. He is currently spearheading AKQA’s thought-leadership in this space.

STEPHEN CLEMENTS

As Executive Creative Director, Stephen helps shape the vision and creative direction for clients serviced from AKQA’s San Francisco office, including Audi, Anheuser-Busch, Activision and Verizon. He’s been with AKQA since 2003, when he joined the agency’s London office to work on brands including Nike, Xbox and Unilever before relocating to the Bay Area in 2007.

BRENDAN DIBONA

Brendan helps to shape the vision and direction for clients serviced from the AKQA office in Washington DC. During his tenure there, he has created innovative and award-winning work for clients like Delta, Bethesda Softworks, and the World Wildlife Fund. In addition to providing creative vision for AKQA, Brendan mentors and speaks to students and faculty from a wide range of institutions about the ever-changing industry.

Rob is Executive Creative Director of AKQA’s Amsterdam and Berlin offices. Drawing on more than 23 years’ experience in the brand - and design - driven landscape, Rob was most recently involved in the television industry, working on user experience models from mobile tablets to TV screens, and in the automotive industry, where he was developing new HMI platforms for the ‘connected vehicle’.

Future Lions is open to any student in full-time education or who has graduated the previous academic year and is not already in full-time employment. You must also be 18 or older on or before 15 June 2014. Entries may be submitted in any digital format: simply direct judges to a non-password-protected URL. And please supply a clear English translation if your entry is in another

language. You may submit more than one idea, although one great idea is better than any number of mediocre ones.
