Benefits of World Changers
I enjoy helping my friend break horses,
giving kids horse back rides,
and giving basic riding lessons
Breaking rescue horses who have never been worked with is a lot different and more work then breaking a foal we have worked with since birth. We have worked with an abused horse for two years before experienced riders could ride her. Our foal has only taken a few months after saddling for light riders like me to ride. We must consider the build of the horse and the weight he/she can take before we start working.
This gets the horse use to someone on his/her back and someone controlling from on his/her back instead of leading in front with a rope. It is dangerous so I have to know what I'm doing. It takes a lot of patience and dedication to break a horse and a lot of care and time to take care of the horses.
I usually sit in the saddle after getting the horse use to a saddle. Must be at least 2 years before we start with the saddle. I am light so there isn't much different in weight.
After I graduate, I would like to join Hospice of Lubbock's Greif Counseling. This is a free service Hospice provides for those who have lost loved ones.
I have talked to the people working there and feel that this is the right place for me . I believe I can make a difference at Hospice of Lubbock.
Future Plans
