Michael Karpovich was an employee of the embassy of the Russian Provisional Government in Washington, D.C., professor of Russian history at Harvard University, and editor of "Novyi zhurnal." Summary: Correspondence and subject files of Russian-American historian Michael Karpovich include letters from former ministers of the Russian Provisional Government Alexander Kerensky, Aleksandr Guchkov, and the Provisional Government's ambassador to the United States, Boris Bakhmeteff.
