Business Continuity

Overview

Why Business Continuity?

Why hasn’t everyone reduced the risks?

How can AppAssure and Kaseya enable your overall solution?

The Story

It was a dark and stormy night. I felt this sense of gloom and doom hanging over me. Suddenly my server started to smoke and then it started to spin and then…… nothing….. And then the phone started to ring – ‘THE SERVER IS DOWN!!!!!’, they screamed. I called Iron Mountain and said help! Send me my tape…I could only hear faint breathing on the other end of the line. Was anyone there, did they hear my request, did they send the tape….. Two days passed, then three….. I started working on my resume…..

Some interesting stats

40% of Business’s that experience a catastrophic failure that cannot be fully recovered are out of business within 3 years.

The avg cost per employee of an email outage is $25 per hour

Customers, Partners and Prospects Worry

Employees must make inefficient choices

Average Net Profits – 11% or less than 6 weeks of the year

20% of all outages are due to data corruption

99% of outages are local recoveries and the majority of cost is wide-area

Why should Business Continuity be important?

Story

It was a dark and stormy night. I felt prepared for anything. Suddenly a server started to smoke and then it started to spin and then…… nothing….. KASEYA alerted me immediately and I kicked off the AppAssure recovery. Before the first phone call came in I had the users back to work.
