Plaster mesh - chicken wire, welded wire and expanded

metal

Light expanded metal

As reinforcing material, plaster mesh is used for building internal and external decoration,

especially in plastering work. It protects the plaster layer surface from cracking and

increases the mechanical strength of the plaster layer. Meanwhile plastering mesh provides

a better grip with plaster wall and forms the skeleton layers of the wall plaster and putty,

thereby significantly strengthening the plaster layer and significantly extending its service

life. Due to its strength and durability, plaster mesh is also successfully used as reinforcing

material in strengthening the foundations of buildings, restoration and reinforcement of

existing plaster, brickwork, installation of thermal insulation and roofing tile ties, and road

laying pavement construction.

We offer the following types of plaster mesh: plastic mesh, fiberglass mesh cloth, welded

wire mesh, chain wire mesh, chicken wire, light type expanded metal, and woven wire

cloth. These metal mesh all has small square mesh and made from thin wire. Plastering

mesh in various kinds allows customers to find exactly the suitable one perfectly meeting

special requirements.

When choose plaster mesh, you must take into account its physical and mechanical

properties, as well as the purpose. For example, fiberglass cloth for the exterior surface

plastering need mesh density of 160 to 300 g / sq.m. Expanded metal with rhombic shape

mesh hole is successfully applied during underfloor heating installation and holding

plastering well. Galvanized plaster metal mesh has high resistance to corrosion. Using

galvanized mesh for plaster finishing work can significantly extend the life of the premises.

Welded

wire plaster mesh

When using for plastering, plaster layer and the reinforcing metal layer have different

thermal expansion coefficient. Therefore, subject to extreme changes in temperature,

chicken wire (durable twisted woven mesh) is more acceptable for plastering than welded

wire mesh or expanded metal. It has no risk of injury at work.Chicken wire plaster mesh

made from 0.6 - 2.0mm wire, mesh size from 13mm to 50 mm.

No bent and welded seams, light expanded metal greatly increases the strength and

durability at a very low weight. Because its rough surface, it combines well with putty,

plaster and waterproofing materials, ensuring high quality and durable plastering coatings

for walls and ceilings.

Welded stucco mesh is performed by welding of mild heat treated wire with or with out

zinc coating, helping the plaster layer of shrinkage walls avoid cracking. With the feature of

high resistance to corrosion, galvanized mesh is more durable.

Plaster woven mesh fabric is a square mesh cloth made from galvanized or non-

galvanized low carbon treated wire (diameter 0.5 -1.5mm). It includes black woven mesh

and galvanized mesh cloth. Woven plaster mesh is mainly used for reinforcement roughing

plastering. It can prevent cracks from shrinkage and increase the strength of the walls.

Chain link mesh with maximum density 3000 g/m2 is useful for plastering facade

structures. With high strength, it is not affected by adverse factors. While, For interior

plastering, you can use mesh with a density of 1300 g/m2 ( mesh size 10×10mm,

15×15mm).

As a great alternative to metal plaster mesh, plastic mesh is suitable for using on large

wall surfaces to reinforce a thick plaster layer. It will be an excellent surface protection from

cracking. plastic mesh netting is ideal for fast-drying the mixture.

Fiberglass cloth has the features of anti-corrosion, resistance to alkalis, light weight. In

general, fiberglass mesh exterior plastering helps to overcome stress caused by humidity

and extreme temperature changes. It has a high resistance to stretching and tearing,

protects the surface from cracking, improves the mechanical strength. Using it helps

plaster perfectly evenly.

Mesh plastering easily handled and mounted on brick, plaster, concrete, wood and even

embossed surfaces. Plastic and fiberglass mesh is fixed to the target surface often by

adhesive, or base construction stapler. Metal mesh was fixed to a wall surface often using

nails, screws and metal sheet piece.

All of our plater mesh is delivered in rolls and can have different sizes. You can contact

us to buy plaster metal mesh in wholesale and retail. We will give you an extensive range

of products at competitive prices, and theprice depends on the materials, mesh size and

the presence of the galvanized layer.

Chicken wire with flexibility structure for plaster - no injury

A roll of

black plaster hexagonal wire netting

Chicken wire has specific properties for plastering use.Chicken wire mesh is formed by

twisting two adjacent wires at least four times, forming a strong honeycomb mesh

structure. So, it has a high strength and durability. Even if a place is cut off, it will not lead

to the entire chicken mesh structure destroyed. When using for plastering, plaster layer

and the reinforcing metal layer have different thermal expansion coefficient. Therefore,

subject to extreme changes in temperature, chicken wire (durable twisted woven mesh - no

rigid mesh) is more acceptable for plastering than welded wire mesh or expanded metal.

Page 5: KATY Plaster Mesh Company

Using it when plastering effectively prevents plaster layer drying out and cracking.

Its hexagonal shape prevents the formation of internal stresses. Due to its flexibility

structure, chicken wire is convenient for mounting on curved and angled surfaces. Its other

benefits are twisted mesh improved corrosion resistance and no risk of injury at work. As its

special physical and mechanical properties, chicken wire is perfectly suited for

reinforcement plastering in construction, reinforcement waterproofing, leveling floors and

facade work.

Plaster expanded metal protects wall against cracks and

fissures

Expanded metal mesh is most used as a reinforcing material in the interior decoration,

and especially when the plastering work, so sometimes referred to as stucco netting. It is

manufactured from sheet steel blade which cuts through and uniformly stretched in cells

having a diamond shape. So, it has no bends or welds, and is very strong and durable, with

a low weight. The ribbed surface makes it has the max adhesion.

When plastering walls it is used to keep the surface from cracking arising from temperature

extremes and humidity fluctuations. It can be used for absolutely all surfaces of concrete

and brick to wood, and even plaster ceilings. It must be mounted on a solid dowel-nails or

anchor bolts to hold the work was easier.

To create a durable bonding plaster to the wall using various reinforcing mesh. They can be

welded, made of galvanized steel wire, woven fiberglass. Each of these materials has its

own advantages and disadvantages. But the best currently considered material is the light

type expanded metal.

Advantages and benefits of light expanded metal mesh

Expanded metal plastering mesh is the perfect combination of qualities such as

strength and flexibility and low weight.

Compared to welded mesh and woven mesh, it is the structural integrity - no

stitches and welds, which greatly simplifies the work with the product during

installation and transportation.

Can be cut into any shape, while maintaining its strength.

Due to its plasticity, it is convenient for mounting on curved and angled surfaces.

Can be used in plastering and tiling works on virtually any surface: concrete, brick,

plaster, wood.

Has maximum grip and is easy to open, easy to handle and use.

Unlike plastic and fiberglass mesh, expanded metal sheet has absolute resistance

to combustion, and greater durability and resistance to harsh environments and water.

When plastering walls it is used to keep the surface from cracking arising from temperature

extremes and humidity fluctuations.

Application:

Expanded metal mesh used in construction as a reinforcing element for plastering and

finishing works, as well as the reinforcement reinforcing floors, ceilings and pavements. It

protects wall against cracks and fissures due to changes in temperature and humidity, and

mechanical stress. The expanded plastering mesh increases the mechanical strength of the

reinforced surface, including impact resistance. Installation and operation are very simple.

Plaster welded wire mesh - galvanized or black

Page 13: KATY Plaster Mesh Company

Plaster

welded mesh with 20×20mm mesh size made from 1.0mm galvanized carbon wire

Plastering welded wire mesh is primarily made of thin low-carbon drawn wire or

galvanized wire with a diameter of 0.4 to1.5 mm, located in mutually perpendicular

directions and interconnected by spot welding. Its wire diameter is much smaller than the

standard welded wire mesh. It is perfect for plastering on uneven surfaces.

Welded mesh plastering has a wide scope. It can be used for the building inside and

outside plaster reinforcement. As an essential piece of plastering work, it creates lasting

plaster coating for absolutely all surfaces of concrete and brick to wood, and even plaster

ceilings. Before plastering, the welded mesh must be mounted on wall by a solid dowel-

nails or anchor bolts, which makes the plaster work easier. The welded wire mesh makes

the plaster wall surface smooth and no crack, also excludes the impact of external factors

on the wall.

If used for plastering in corrosion material, galvanized welded mesh is the best choice,

in order to avoid the appearance of red streaks and spots. If used for interior plaster work

and no corrosion material, needs no galvanizing, common carbon wire mesh will work well.

So most of the plaster mesh - it is not galvanized mesh.

Chain link plaster mesh reinforces plaster surface

Chain link Plastering mesh is a type of light chain link fence used to prevent wall cracks

due to temperature changes. With its light weight, thin wire from 0.5mm to 2.0mm and

small mesh opening from 5mm to 25mm, it is also called mini or micro chain wire fence.

Chain link

fence used as plastering mesh

Low carbon steel and galvanized wire are its mainly materials. Due to the mesh for

reinforcing plaster surface does not involve direct contact with the grid environment, in

order to save money, the most commonly used is uncoated black mesh.

It is mainly used in finishing works for the reinforcement of the walls (architectural interior

wall plaster and outdoor wall insulation plaster) before applying the plaster layer - chain

link mesh nailed to the wall then immediately plastering. It is particularly important in the

construction of industrial plants, in which the walls are exposed to high vibration impacts

as a result of the machine, presses and other powerful mechanisms.
