THe Problem82% oF PeoPle WHo consIDer THemselves cHrIsTIans are noT InvolveD In anY kInD oF acTIve kIngDom servIce – according to Barna Research Institute. Apparently, the harvest is still plentiful (ministry opportunities exist everywhere),yet the laborers (ministry participants) are still too few (Matthew 9:37).

God’s plan for reaching the world is to mobilize every Christian (as an active laborer) into every place of human need. But how can He fulfi ll His plan if fewer than 20% of His people are involved in it? How can His plan be activated whenmore than 80% are spectators?

The problem isn’t so much that there aren’t enough Christians. The problem is that there aren’t enough Christians putting love into daily action. They’re sitting on the sidelines, when spectatorism is not God’s call on our lives! As an equal opportunity employer,God desires the involvement of EVERY Christian!

Yet, the massive potential for EVERY Christian’s involvement is being overlooked and undervalued. Challenge and practicalequipping, like Jesus provided His ordinary followers, to impact the world is not occurring today. Christians today have beenover-entertained, under-challenged, and under-equipped!

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, andhealing every disease and every infi rmity. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest’” (Matthew 9:35-38 RSV).

abouT kbmKingdom Building Ministries is passionate about a hearts on fi re—lives on purpose movement dedicated to seeing individu-als challenged, equipped and mobilized as passionate lovers of and effective everyday ministers for God. KBM creates a place for you and God to connect—passing the baton of this wonderful life of being fully surrendered to God and His plan for the world as everyday Kingdom laborers.

laborer: "A laborer is a disciple in action. Laborers live lives of dif-ference-making love. They are ordinary people who express their love for God through practical, hands-and-feet service." – Dr. Dwight Robertson, President and Founder ofKingdom Building Ministries

Laborers are those who are making a difference in people’s lives and in God’s Kingdom by actively and lovingly serving

those around them. They get into the mud puddles of life’s deepest needs. They’re ordinary people who are making an extraordinary difference in the places where God has given them infl uence—their families, neighborhoods, communities, schools, workplaces, churches, etc. They’re taking theirlove for God into places all over the world by putting their Christian faith into action in practical and meaningful ways.

every Christian is uniquely designed by God to have an impact on the lives of others in ways that are meaningful and important. every christian is a minister. Every Christian is called to be a laborer.

Our purpose is to fan the fl ame of a worldwide laborership movement that will bring God’s heart, His Kingdom and His will to the earth.

Plan a book You are the vital part of god’s Plan.

God has designed your life for impacting others—just the way Jesus did—using your daily circumstances as a springboard. And if you’ve avoided getting involved in the work of God’s Kingdom because you think you don’t have anything signifi cant to contribute, think again.

Author Dwight Robertson shows how acts as simple as sharing a meal or treating people with kindness and respect are the most important Kingdom work people can do. His encouraging, inspiring stories illustrate the profound effect just one person can have on countless others. Through our homes, our vocations and our hobbies, God’s people are spread out everywhere! So imagine what would happen if inactive Christians everywhere started reporting every day for duty!

Plan a conFerences The core of the “Plan A” message is to reveal God’s passion to use ordinary people to do extraordinary things in building His Kingdom. Each one of us not only has something to contribute, but also has a story to tell.

Jesus talked a lot about Plan A when He was on earth, and He gave us a model for how to live it out. Problem is, we’ve watered it down. Distorted it. Added to it. Subtracted from it. Forgotten about parts of it. And combined it with our own plans. It’s time to return to the fullness of God’s Plan A and recover, renew and revitalize it in our generation. The fate of the world depends on it.

If you are interested in booking a Plan A conference, please contact us at 800.873.8957.

“Understanding the unique and powerful plan of God for our lives ushers in a sense of dignity, purpose, courage, compassion, and

strength that God alone can construct. Plan A’s message draws us back to the beauty of God’s

initial design and plan. This is why He made us… this is where we fi nd our ultimate joy.”

–Dan Wolgemuth, President/CEOof Youth for Christ/USA

Participating in a KBM training program is not as much about DOING MINISTRY as it is about becoming a person who lives a lifestyle of actively listening to and boldly following Christ everyday for the rest of your life. We rely on God and seek to equip people to become active Kingdom Laborers. For the past 25 years, God has been using KBM to help fuel a worldwide movement of individuals who are God’s answer to Jesus’ prayer “to send more laborers into his harvest fi eld” (Matthew 9:38).

Although every person is uniquely created and designed by God, we believe there are 6 common characteristics (or realities) that are shared by every active Kingdom Laborer. As we engage students through training opportunities, we are seeking to outline these 6 realities as the goal for each life. We believe a Kingdom Laborer is someone who is:

1. kIngDom-lIvIngKingdom Laborers seek to glorify God by doing thingsHis Way – Love God and Love Others (Matthew 22:37-40).

2. PassIon-DrIvenKingdom Laborers love God so much they will obey Him,sacrifi ce for Him and suffer because of Him all for the ultimate purpose of glorifying His Name.

3. Presence-enableDKingdom Laborers live lives fi lled with His Presence. They seek to have an intimate relationship with God. They are daily directed by the Holy Spirit and obey His direction in their lives.

4. PurPose-FulFIllIngKingdom Laborers live with the understanding that God isadvancing His Kingdom throughout the world through the reproduction of disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). But they alsolive in the unique way He created them—in the situations, relationships and locations He chooses to place them.

5. Process-DeveloPeDKingdom Laborers are NOT PERFECT. While they grapple with feelings of being UNWORTHY and too INCAPABLE to have kingdom impact, their lives are characterized by believing that Christ hascommissioned them to be His ambassadors(2 Corinthians 5:20).

6. ImPacT-orIenTeDKingdom Laborers live intentionally to impact the world for God’s Kingdom. They know that living for kingdom impact will reap an indestructible, eternal legacy that will bring God glory.

“My fi rst encounter with God was when I felt ledto do things that normally I would not have the courage to do. It wasn’t until I truly spent time with God, and was familiar with who He is that I grew not only in my faith, but also as a person.”– Mia, 16 Days student

“16 Days taught me how to authentically love God, love people and how to serve the people around me.” – Andrew, 16 Days student

“I took away a better understanding of what intimacy with God looks like. I realized that my life really isn’t my own, but it’s in the hands of God and He’s there holding my hand with every step I take.”– Bree, 16 Days student

1. STrANDED (UNUSUAL SoLDIErS bASIC TrAININg)Stranded is for those that have a missionary zeal and are ready for an adventure.

Stranded is the “basic training” of unusual soldiers. The fi rst three days are geared to challenge students in the back country. It will be a time of adventure, stress, and survival as they brave some scenarios commonly encountered by unusual soldiers overseas. Following the outdoor phase students will be trained on the core values of being an unusual soldier at the ministry headquarters. One must be prepared for discomfort and unpredictability if they are going to be a part of this missionary training program. It’s tough...It’s grueling...It’s rewarding.

2. SLINgSHoT (UNUSUAL SoLDIErS ADVANCED TrAININg)"Launching Unusual Soldiers Forward"

This is an intense week of training for those that sense a calling to be Unusual Soldiers for Christ. This training is for those who are called to a life of risk for Christ and want to advance the gospel in dark, dangerous, or despised places. It will be led by Caleb Bislow and will include workbooks, multiple audio/visual seminars, and help in developing personal ministry strategy. This training is a step up from Stranded and it will focus more on the practicalities of being an Unusual Soldier. If participants desire they may do Stranded and Slingshot back to back.
