We create printand digital designs for educational institutions who want to reachunique students and have them attend their programs. SUMMER LOWE, CO-OWNER, 33% SHAREAfter obtaining a degree in Interactive Digital Media: New Media anda minor in Advertising, Summer has a knack for media design. Whileattending Northwest Missouri State University Summer became procient

PRICINGPricing for our work will be determined after we have determined ourhourly wage, our base prices, any additional prices and any costs for out-sourced work.

Pricing for each project will be provided up front to the client after an initiaconsultation regarding each project. After the initial consultation with the

client, the KBS team will get together to discuss the time it will take to com-plete the project. Time will be budgeted based on how much time it takesto complete the project and what services KBS will be providing to the cli-ent to complete the project.

DESIGN – $125/Hour 

LOGO & IDENTITY DESIGN – Logo and identity design would be a serviceprovided that would help establish a new brand image or to improve uponan older one. The KBS team would communicate with the client to learnmore about their business and what they want their brand image to be.The team would then collaborate to develop a new logo, business cards,letterhead, business envelopes, and other materials deemed necessary bythe client to develop their identity.

PRINT & DIGITAL DESIGN – Print and digital designs would be created forclients based on their target audience and what they are trying to convey.The KBS team would work closely with the client to decide the best way toapproach these designs in order to reach that target audience with the

right message.

BRAND CONSULTING & MANAGEMENT – $150/Hour 

The KBS team would work closely with the client to help maintain theirbrand image. It is important for the client to have a cohesive andconsistent brand in order to reach their audience.

While all three owners of KBS Advertising have been learning the necessaryskills and what it takes to run an advertising agency for four years atNorthwest Missouri State University, their only real-world experience hasbeen gained through internships and freelance work. However, we believe

MARKET RESEARCHThe Kansas City metro and surrounding cities are the targetmarkets for KBS Advertising. Kansas City is the largest city in thestate of Missouri, with a metropolitan area of more than two millionpeople spanning the Missouri-Kansas border. Downtown KansasCity was named one of America’s best downtowns in 2012 for

rich, unique culture in arts, entertainment and cuisine, especiallybarbecue.

The main cost for promotion would be the cost of our business website.Soft costs would consist of reaching out to other platforms to help us getthe work out of our business. This could consist of features in media outlets,business cards, etc.

Using our experience from our previous internships and jobs, as well as ourthorough knowledge of the advertising industry and our full understandingof our competitors, we decided that our work would be best charged forby hourly rates.
