However, kctv isn't the name of our program. Our program is now called Fact Reporting. This serves as both the name of our program and our tag line. Theattention shouldn't be on us, but on the facts. We are but a vehicle for the facts we bring to our viewers.

kctv's colors are a striking and energized white and black occasionally with a shade of gray. The only time color ever comes into play in the system is inimagery. The color palette is strikingly energetic when used as stark black and white.

Our system hangs on the use of color blocking. Black and white are the only colors used except for full color imagery. Color blocking is simply that,rectangular blocks of black or white to help give our designs a base and a supporting element.

The main typeface used in the new system is din Condensed Black, Medium, and Regular. It's a very concise and neutral typeface that doesn't bring attentionto itself. It is always set in uppercase, never lowercase. For all body copy and any other copy set 18pt or smaller is set in the Arno Pro font family. Arno Prois inuenced by 15th and 16th century humanistic book typefaces that lends itself to feeling trustworthy.

Our logotype is our brandmark. The kctv logotype is set very concisely in all caps.
KCTV and Fact Reporting are both set in all caps. Fact Reporting is bolder over KCTV because it is more important. The facts are always more importantthan us. Both of our logotypes are concise and neutral truths of who we are and what we do.

Our signature lock up is concise and effective. When our names are put together, Fact Reporting should always be twice the height of kctv. Also, the word"by" should be added in front of kctv so the lock up reads like a statement, "Fact Reporting by kctv". The lock up should always be either black on white, orwhite on black.
As time goes on, we want to be known as the trustworthy facts station in Kansas city. We want our logo to become a "seal of approval". Anytime a viewersees it, they can automatically know the facts will be true and neutral.

If our signature needs to exist on imagery or video, the signature gets a background. That way, the lock up still exists either as black on white, or white onblack.
The white on black versions should be used on top of light imagery, the black on white versions should be on top of dark imagery.

Imagery should have minimal editing to it, let the photographs speak for themselves. We give unltered facts of what's going on around us, our photographyshould reect this value, as well.
When imagery is used in talking about a specic fact, there should be minimal intrusions on top of it obscuring the image's information. The only things thatshould ever be on fact specic imagery is our signature and a secondary, anchoring color block. However, when the imagery isn't fact specic, it's okay toput blocks of color and information on top of it so the imagery acts as secondary, supportive information

Everyone here has a kctv business card, and they all use them routinely as a means of communication for people outside of kctv. Because of this, ourbusiness card is bold among the world of business cards, while still concise and neutral.

Stationery
We send out letters and invoices daily to all different kinds of people with varying information in them. The structure of out letterheads need to be able toaccommodate that varying information while still staying concise.
The front has our pertinent information in the top left, and "Fact Reporting" set at the bottom, leaving the vast majority of the page open for personalizedcontent.
The back carries the color blocking over to help indicate where the letter should be folded, and highlights "Fact Reporting".

Envelope
Our envelopes t right in line with our letterheads. We simplied the address information on the front to just the basic information for mailing purposes. Weput the black on the ap of the envelope as both a nice little surprise, and to leave the front open for any other information needed. Also, the inside of theenvelope is black as well to help the letter inside stand out.

Shirt
Our shirts aren't the usual collared shirt like you would expect. Just a simple shirt that carries our company's names. Each shirt is customized for theindividual with their name on the front in place of where kctv usually goes.

Billboard
The Billboards we use are image heavy and brand light. They should highlight big goings-on here in Kansas City, rather than about kctv itself. Our logoshould always be in the lower left-hand corner of the billboard with a block of color on the left to anchor it.

Our website is all about getting the facts to you as directly and easily as possible. It's been simplied to top headlines on the main page. The navigation hasbeen moved to the left and restructured slightly. All of this has been done in search for a more concise design that makes our website even more user friendly.

Van Graphics
Our news vans are seen all over Kansas City and all outer-lying cities and counties. Everyone has seen it at least once somewhere with or without knowingit. They work fabulous as moving advertising. Ours is concise, and when put along with all the other advertising we have out and about, it ts perfectly.People will know immediately who we are and what we do.
