New food-grade pendulum bucketconveyor demonstrated at showThe stand of Nerak Wiese, manufacturer of advanced bucketelevators and vertical conveyor systems, was busy throughout theshow as visitors showed considerable interest in its range ofconveying solutions. At the heart of Nerak conveyor drive systems isits heavy-duty rubber block chain. With no links, the chain is silent inoperation, virtually maintenance-free and requires no lubrication. These and other innovative design features have made Nerak anOEM partner for many leading systems integrators in the delivery ofturnkey automation projects. The Brecon-based company used theshow to promote the new, food-grade pendulum bucket conveyorfrom Wiese, which offers no-spill handling for multiple dischargepoints. Also on show was the Nerak box lifter, configurable in ‘S’ or‘C’ shapes and capable of throughputs of up to 2,500 units per hour.8 For further information please telephone 01874 612 900, email [email protected] or visit www.nerak-wiese.co.uk
UPM shows its paces at PPMAConveying and product hadling company UPM showed anumber of ground-breaking system’s at this year’s PPMA Show.Chief among these was a new orientation, singulation andproducting handling system, and the company alsodemonstrated stainless steel and high molecular weightpolyethylene (HMWPE) conveyors. The systems on showincluded gravity rollers and accumulation tables that alsodisplay features such as static elimination and product cooling. This has been a record sales year for the company, which wasfounded just over 35 years ago and has also seen £50K worth ofrecent investment in mechanical solid modeling designsoftware. The new CAD systems allow fast and easy digitalprototypes of customer systems. Images can be rotated through360 degrees, streamling and further enabling the company’sclient-bespoke manufacturing capabilities.8 For further information please telephone 01753 548801 or email [email protected]
