    Process (4-5 sentences)Before proceeding with thecreation of the flier, I lookedover all the instructions andgathered all the necessary

    files. I made a few roughsketches of possible designsbefore deciding on thefliers layout. Using AdobesInDesign, I began to createmy flier using black, grey,and white boxes to createcontrast. I wanted the title tobe the focal point so I made it

    significantly larger then therest of the text. I separatedthe body copy into threecategories and used font sizeand caps to create additionalcontrast.

    -Learn basic photographyskills.-Use a digital camera totake a quality image, thendownload it.-Size and crop the image.6 x6 resolution 150-Adjust image brightness,contrast, hue and saturation

    levels.-Use a selection tool to isolatea portion of the image.-Desaturate the selectedportion of the image.-Use a filter or colorize a

    portion of the image.-Document needs to be 8.511150 resolution. Margins: top2 , sides 1.25 and bottom 3Process (4-5 sentences)I started by resizing andcropping the photo to fit theassigned requirements, andthen I duplicated the layer topreserve the original photo. Iused the color selecting toolto select the pink color, andthen inverted the selection. I

    desaturated the backgroundleaving the pink saturated. Ithen inverted my selectionagain and increased thesaturation on the pink tocreate a bright, almost neonpink. Using levels, I darkenedin the image and createdmore contrast.

    Process (4-5 sentences): Idecided on my copy first.Once I decided what I wantedthe poster to say, I started todevelop the concept of myposter. Using Google Images,I found a base image, a fewaccent images, and a textureto layer on top. On Adobe

    Photoshop, I used layers,masks, layer types, andbrushes to create my image.

    Objective (see project page)-Create a variety of logos tofit a company or personalimage (at least 3 new logos).-Do not imitate existing logosor use your previous designs.Use only the tools ofIllustrator. (No photos onlogo page)

    -Setting up a professionaldisplay for the company.Arrange three logos on an 8.5x 11 vertical page / .5 marginsand add the company namein simple type at the top of

    page.-Getting feedback fromoutside sources. Ask tenpeople to select their favoritelogo. List the results, along

    with your favorite, in yourblog post.

    Process (4-5 sentences): Thelogos needed to be relativelysimply to fit the companyslook so I started out byexperimenting with fonts tocreate a base for the logo.

    Once I have several looks Iwas happy with, I started touse brushes to create details.In the first logo, I used a simplebrush to sketch out a camera.For the second, I increasedthe brush size significantlyto create a single stroke thatimitates the look of a make

    up swatch. In the third logo,I used the same brush in asmaller size to create a B.Each of these drawings addcontrast to the sharp lines inthe fonts.

    stationery.)-Letterhead: 8.5 x 11 (full-bleed optional, but trim only.125)-Business card: 3.5 x 2 (printabove center on a verticalpage)-Apply typography ruleskeeping small copy.

    Process (4-5 sentences):

    I started by designing alogo in Adobe IllustratorI used the concept of sunsand, and water to create asimplr, yet family friendlylogo. I took that logo andplaced it into InDesign. For

    the letterhead, I placed it onthe top, extended the tail ofthe logo, and added in thecompanys information. Ialso took the logo, expandedit, and decreased the opacityto 5% to create a watermarkFor the business card, I putthe logo on the top, centered

    the business name in themiddle, and put the contactinformation on the bottomaligned to the right. For theback of the business cardI created a simply bluebackground and overlayedthe logo horizontally inwhite.

    Process (4-5 sentences): Thefirst thing I did was downloadNotepad++ to my computer.I used it to create the HTMLbase for my website. I typedin the information and

    included a link to the image.I then used CSS to customizethe fonts, colors, and otherdesign aspects. I used awebsite called CSSdesk.comto help me see the immediateeffects as I edited.

    Objective-Set up and align a two-sided,folded document.-Create an original companylogo and use it in a brochure.Incorporate quality images.(Incorporate at least fourquality images (Not including

    the logo). One should beclipped in Photoshop andtext-wrapped in InDesign sothe text follows the cutoutshape of the image.)-Write at least 250 words of

    original copy with at leastthree paragraphs.-Trim for a full bleed andprint in duplex (two-sided)color.

    Process (4-5 sentences): Istarted my designing myformat. I used grids andrulers in InDesign to createthe layout. Using IllustratorI created a logo, and inPhotoshop, I edited severalphotos to make them black

    and white with high contrast.I placed all the files intoInDesign and laid them outaccordingly. I used the shapetool to add colored boxes toadd contrast, and I arrangedthe objects to create a uniquealignment.
