Roses competed at several open shows winning the Grand Cham- pion Mare title an awe-inspiring 70 times, and the Reserve Cham- pion mare 12 times. Kendalite N Roses had countless first place rankings and top ten standings throughout her illustrious career. Having passed away in August of 2004, Roses’ legacy con- tinues through her offspring. She produced six foals during her lifetime. Her foal Dreaming Of Roses made a career in the show ring, earning four bronze medallions in halter classes. The 2009 bay stallion, The Secret, is Roses’ most well known foal. The Secret is currently one of the leading halter sires in the Ap- paloosa industry with 167 registered foals having accumulated 5,776 halter points, 204.5 performance points and 87 ROM’s. The Secret earned a Bronze Production Plaque in 2007 and a Bronze Superior Production Plaque in 2013. Kendalite N Roses was a 1991 mare was by Kendalls Reward and out of Classical Rose (QH). She was bred by Steven and Kristi Goldberg of Waco, Texas, and last owned by Char-O-Lot Ranch of Myakka City, Florida. During her lifetime she accu- mulated a total of 244 points and earned 14 bronze medallions. Her family at Char-O-Lot Ranch described Kendalite N Roses as, “a star who represented the beauty of the Appaloosa breed wherever she went.” During her time Kendalite N Roses took the halter world by storm, changed the industry forever and se- cured herself a well-deserved spot in the ApHC Hall of Fame.
