Kennett, Missouri Calvary Apostolic Church SEPTEMBER 11, 2011 Pastor David Henderson is second generation Pentecost. He graduated high school in Red Bluff, CA and then moved to Oklahoma shortly thereafter. He played sports as a teen and his first love was baseball. His dad was a Pentecostal minister and faithfully took the family to church. After graduating from high school, he moved to Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Royce Ann Anderson. They married in July of 1975. A few years later their home was blessed with two adorable sons.The family moved to Ukiah, in 1987 and pastored a home missions church there in the beautiful mountains of northern California. They labored in the work of the Lord there for 3 1/2 years. In 1991 God directed him to Chouteau, Oklahoma where he pastored until 1999. Royce Ann Henderson grew up in the small town of Morris, OK where she graduated High School. After graduation she attended Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee, OK and graduated with a diploma in Medical Secretarial Science. After moving to Ukiah, she decided to be a stay at home mom until their boys were older. The Henderson’s now have a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation business aside from pastoring the church. The couple have been in Kennett for approximately 10 years. They are believing God for a great revival. Pastor David Henderson is second generation Pentecost. He graduated high school in Red Bluff, CA and then moved to Oklahoma shortly thereafter.  He played sports as a teen and his first love was baseball. His dad was a Pentecostal minister and faithfully took the family to church.

After graduating from high school, he moved to Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Royce Ann Anderson. They married in July of 1975.  A few years later their home was blessed with two adorable sons.The family moved to Ukiah, in 1987 and pastored a home missions church there in the beautiful mountains of northern California.  They labored in the work of the Lord there for 3 1/2 years. Directions1. Open all cans, drain and rinse beans, and strip chicken frombone. Skin is optional (I leave it out)2. Chop chicken and onion3. Put chicken, beans, chicken broth, chilis, onion, and seasonings in large pot

or crockpot. Bring to boil, and let simmer until onions are done.4. Turn off heat. Add sour cream and whipping cream. Mix and serve right away.

The National September 11 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, PA., and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993.

The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in the North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. Architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker created the Memorial design selected from a global design competition that included more than 5,200 entries from 63 nations.

The names of every person who died in the 2001 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools, a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history.

The display of these names is the very heart of the Memorial. The design of the names parapet provides a direct relationship between the visitor, the names, and the water, allowing for a feeling of quiet reverence between the visitor and the Memorial.

What a beautiful tribute to a horrific event. May all the families, co-workers, and friends worldwide be touched by the addition of the September 11th National Monument, on the 10th Anniversary - September 11, 2011

A great personal tragedy sent Horatio Spafford deep into the heart of his faith, and he emerged able to state, “It is well with my soul.” Let me tell you the story.

In the late 1860’s Horatio Spafford, a successful Chicago businessman, experienced the loss of his son and then saw the great Chicago fire of 1871 destroy most of the real estate investments he had made on the shore of Lake Michigan. To recover from these losses and to assist his friend D. L. Moody in an evangelical crusade in England, Spafford planned a European vacation for his wife and four daughters. Because of last-minute business problems, he ahd to delay his departure, but he sent his family on the SS Ville de Havre as planned. On November 22, 1873, their ship was struck by an English vessel and sank in less than twelve minutes. Several days later Spafford received the following cable from his wife who had been rescued and taken to Wales: “Saved alone.” His four daughters were lost at sea.

On the voyage to join his wife, the ship’s captain called him up to the deck one night and told him, “This is the area where the ship went down.” Spafford stood there for some time staring at the ocean. Then he went to his cabin and wrote, “It is well with my soul.”

Spafford later gave the words to a good friend, Philip Bliss (1838-1876), a gospel singer and song writer of great renown.

Bliss wrote the music the night before he and his wife boarded a train for Chicago on December 29, 1876. During a severe snowstorm the train crashed through a bridge over a deep ravine. Bliss escaped but then went back into the train to look for his wife. Neither was ever found.

Always a student of archaeology, Horatio Spafford, his wife, and their new baby daughter settled in Jerusalem in 1881 with a

group of friends. They became known as the American colony. After his death in 1888 his family decided to stay, and his daughters, Bertha

Grace Spafford, later became a beacon of hope and reconciliation in that troubled land.
