Overall,89percentofhisstudent-athletesgraduatedduringhis15yearsatGeorgetown. HewastheactingheadcoachforGeorgetownduringthe1995-96season takingover for thenheadcoachJimReidduringhisbattlewith cancer.He guided theTigers to a 36-3 record and theNAIAChampionshipgame. OsbornebeganhistenureatGeorgetownasanassistantcoachin1980,servingfor14yearsbeforebeingpromotedtotheheadpositionin1996. ThenativeofLynch,Ky.,leftGeorgetowninAugust,2011tobecomeanassociateheadcoachatTennesseeTechUniversityforoneseasonbeforereturningbacktothestate. Osborne spent the 2012-13 season as the head coach at MontgomeryCountyHighSchoolinMountSterling,Ky.,whereheledthe Indians their best season in history with a 33-5 record and the state championshipsemifinals.
