    Please read all of the safety and operating instructions beforeoperating this unit. For best results, follow all warnings placedon the unit and adhere to the operating and use instructions.These safety and operating instructions should be retained forfuture reference.

    1. Power sources - The unit should be connected to apower supply only of the type described in the operatinginstructions or as marked on the appliance.

    2. Power-cord protection - Power-supply cords shouldbe routed so that they are not likely to be walked on orpinched by items placed upon or against them, pay par-ticular attention to cords at plugs, convenience recep-tacles, and the point where they exit from the unit.

    Never Pull or stretch

    3. Ventilation - The unit should be situated so that itslocation or position does not interfere with its proper ven-tilation.To maintain good ventilation, do not put records or atable-cloth on the unit. Place the unit at least 10 cmaway from the walls.

    4. Water and moisture - The unit should not be usednear water - for example, near a bathtub, washbowl,kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near aswimming pool, etc.

    5. Temperature - The unit may not function properly ifused at extremely low, or freezing temperatures. Theideal ambient temperature is above + 5oC (41oF).

    6. Heat - The unit should be situated away from heatsources such as radiators, heat registers. stoves, or otherunits (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

    7. Electric shock - lf a metal object, such as a hair pin ora needle, comes into contact with the inside of this unit,a dangerous electric shock may result. For families withchildren, never permit children to put anything, especial-ly metal, inside this unit.

    8, Enclosure removal - Never remove the enclosure. lfthe internal parts are touched accidentally, a seriouselectric shock might occur.

    9. AC outlets - Do not connect other audio equipmentwith a power consumption larger than that specified tothe AC outlet on the rear panel. Never connect otherelectrical units, such as an iron or toaster, to it to prevent
