The project aims to achieve the construction of 3 additional berths and a draft of 18 meters to accommodate bigger ships of 100,000 tonsandmore.Thefirst3berthsareunderconstructionthroughfunding by the Government of Kenya.
The port will be linked to Ethiopia and South Sudan through a road network and a standard gauge railway line via Garissa, Isiolo to Moyale and Lokichoggio respectively.

Magwagwa Multi-Purpose Dam

Project Description
Comprises the construction of a 95 m high and 450 m long concrete-facedrock-filldamwithadesigntotalplantoutputof120 MW and an annual energy production of 510 GWh/y. It also comprises a reservoir with a maximum capacity of 106 m3.
The reservoir is expected to supply water to 19 service centres starting with Magwagwa town and to provide water for irrigation and fisheries.

Project Description
The Mombasa Petroleum Trading hub shall be a modern petroleum terminal comprising: • Two offshore petroleum jetties (single buoy moorings) with one
dedicatedtoloading/offloadingcrudeoilandblackfuelsandtheotherforrefinedproducts.
• The jetties will allow a discharge by crude carriers of up to VLCC capacity and product carriers of up to 120,000 DWT.
• Amoderngreenfieldpetroleumtankfarmwithadesigncapacityof 800,000 MT to be developed in phases from an initial minimum capacity of 300,000 MT.
Objective:• Address the present constraints faced at the port of Mombasa
and set-up the infrastructure necessary to position the Kenyan coast as a petroleum trading hub to serve East Africa and the Eastern coast of Africa and ultimately serve as an important supply point for cargoes destined for South East Asia.
