Backpack Blessings... Delivered!
Kerygma Today Ministries
(KTM) kicked-off the Back-to-School
Backpack Drive with wonderful anticipa-
tion! Our goal was to have a profound im-
pact on students and their ability to start
school equipped with the tools and materials
necessary for a fresh new school year! This
year’s Back-to-School Backpack Drive was
indeed stellar and a tremendous success!
This year, not only did the number of stu-
dents receiving backpacks increase by
XX%, KTM was also blessed with a host of
volunteers who graciously gave of their
smiles and time. Additionally, each child’s
backpack was custom-filled with school
supplies based on their grade level.
The Fort Bend County Library served as the
backdrop for the event. As the students and
their Caregivers entered, they were greeted
and served breakfast snacks. Shortly after-
wards, the custom backpacks were distribut-
ed by school grades and group pictures tak-
en. The students and Caregivers were in-
deed appreciative!
The generosity of time, talent and finances
is the fabric that creates the care and love,
which makes outreach possible. To every
KTM Donor and KTM Volunteer, we say
Thank You!
Kerygma Today Ministries looks forward to
being used by God in an effort to assist
more women and children throughout the
coming years.
“And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup
of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to
you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

According to the National Coalition
Against Domestic Violence (NCADV),
in one year alone in the state of Texas,
114 women were killed by intimate
partners. Texas domestic violence
hotlines answered more than 185,373
calls during 2014. NCADV also states
31% of victims/survivors requesting
shelter are turned away due to lack of
resources. The frequency and severity
of domestic violence varies dramatical-
ly and the impact is staggering. These
and others, whose events go unre-
corded, are the voices of domestic
violence.
