Kelly holds an Ontario Life and A & S License, previously held her Mutual Fund License, and her Branch Manager Compliance with IFIC. Kris originally began with Sun Life in 2002 supporting the Sun Life/Clarica merger in the Group Pension area and held a number of marketing roles until 2006 when he left to work in sales - until rejoining Sun Life head office in 2008. Since then, the vast majority of his experience has been focused on growing and improving the head office leads program. From leading the Workplace Solutions team from 2009-2011, to driving the

“Client for Life” strategy in the Client Solutions area, Kris has always delivered results as evidenced by the consistent, double-digit growth in the leads program between 2009-today.

Kris launched the Sun Life Go suite of online life insurance products as one of his final projects in Client Solutions before joining the leads team again in his current role. Since joining the insurance industry Dave has devoted his career to helping advisors grow their business using complex sales strategies and understanding the unique ways life insurance can be used to provide creative solutions for clients. In his earlier roles with Great-West Life he provided large case support for several distribution channels. He then moved into sales consulting in the Individual Insurance sector. In that role he

spent his time providing strategic support for career sales force and third party advisors with Freedom 55 Financial on both life and living benefits lines of business. This career path evolved into a sales focused role in a field setting where Dave provided one on one coaching to advisors and support for client meetings involving their own legal and financial partners. This field experience with the Western region key markets such as business owners and affluent new Canadians established his capability and credibility in the large case market.

Dave then joined Sun Life as an Insurance Sales Director. Prior to coming to the financial services industry Dave graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Honours Bachelors of Education and spent four years teaching in addition to developing curriculum and programs. training, and thought leadership in all areas related to insurance taxation and tax and estate planning.

Prior to joining Sun Life, Sanjana was a tax lawyer in the law firm of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt. She supported the partners and associates by developing knowledge management systems to promote practice efficiency, creating the first blog in the firm to alert on new and proposed legislation and developments in case law specific to Osler’s tax practice. She also assisted with pitches, presenting on hot tax topics, preparing statistical analysis on tax case trends including the GAAR and transfer pricing, updating Osler publications and writing articles for publication in tax law journals.

Sanjana was also a Tax and Estate Planning Consultant at a major financial institution prior to joining Osler.She has also served for Her Majesty The Queen as litigation counsel at the Department of Justice and argued cases before the Tax Court of Canada, Ontario Superior Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Her career started as a research clerk/lawyer for the judges at the Tax Court of Canada.

Blake began his sales career over 20 years ago as a life marketing manager for another major insurance company where he helped advisors grow their business. He has also worked for a major Canadian bank where he gained an appreciation for the banking system. Over the past decade, Blake’s held roles as a long-term care specialist and as a Career Sales Force (CSF) advisor with Sun Life Financial.

Having been in your shoes, Blake understands the value of receiving honest communications and thoughtful advice. His top priority is to help SLFD advisors build their business in the high net worth and corporate markets by providing advanced case planning strategies.He’s able to create and maintain strong relationships with people who trust him to deliver on his commitments. Entrepreneurial by nature, Lino Puzzuoli joined Sun Life after selling multiple businesses and returning to school to earn an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He is passionate about finance, and was hooked ever since his first economics class – subsequently earning a B.A. in Economics, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)® designation and his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

When he was an owner and the CFO for a construction company, Lino learned what it’s like to be personally invested during both boom and bust cycles. He appreciates the challenges faced by business owners and can identify with their concerns. As a believer in lifelong learning, Lino speaks French and Italian well enough to get into and out of trouble. Lino is married and the father of two young children, most easily found during the summer months in his garden.

Stuart Dollar is a Director for the Insurance Tax Solutions group with Sun Life Financial in Waterloo, Ontario. He began his financial services career with London Life in 1994, working as a retirement planner, product manager, and advisor. In 2002 he accepted an opportunity to work with Genworth Financial in the United States as an advanced marketing attorney.

Stuart returned to Canada in 2009 to join Sun Life Financial. He helps with tax issues related to life and health insurance. He is also experienced in the taxation of U.S. life and health insurance products, and with U.S. income and estate tax law.

Stuart often speaks at industry events, and has written several articles, including The Canadian Health Insurance Tax Guide, “Strategies for Canadians with U.S. Retirement Plans”, and “Health Insurance Strategies for Business Owners,” published in the Fall 2017 edition of the Canadian Tax Journal.

Tim Stevens is the new Director of Wealth Consultants here at Sunlife. He has over 15 years of experience within the wealth industry as both a leader and an individual producer. This is more of a “coming home” for him as he has previous experience in the field as a Sales Manager with Sunlife. He has an MBA, CFP and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

However, he is most proud of being a Dad and raising 3 kids. 2 of his kids are in University so he understands the value of having an advisor and getting good, holistic advice. While working and being based out of Toronto, he lives with his three kids and calls Whitby home.

Zsanett Barna has been in the insurance industry in different capacities since 2011. She was an advisor for close to four years before accepting a role with RBC Insurance in 2017. As the senior sales consultant in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and NW Ontario, she has been able to impact the business growth of hundreds of advisors. Building

relationships with people and educating advisors on the importance of living benefits are what attracted her to this position. Zsanett has a Master’s degree in English and American Studies. She comes from a Hungarian heritage but has lived in Canada for 12 years now and is very proud to be a dual citizen of her two favorite countries. She has been married to her husband, Ian, for those same 12 years we well.

Vinitha joined RBC Insurance in 2015 as a licensed insurance and investment consultant with over 15 years of experience in the finance sector. She previously worked at one of the largest insurance management firms for 5 years specializing in individual insurance solutions and also worked as a financial planner for 5 years with one of the top six banks.  

Vinitha wanted to use her knowledge and experience to support financial professionals which resulted in her transition into an active consulting and relationship management role. She has her LLQP (Insurance license), mutual fund license, Certified Health Specialist designation, and is currently pursuing her CFP.

one of Canada’s largest ultra-high net worth advisory firms as a digital marketing manager. She held other senior marketing roles in the financial industry before joining Sun Life. In 2018, she spearheaded the launch of Quintessential, an innovative business-building program. The practices of 87 of Sun Life’s top independent advisors have been transformed as a result. She also launched an advisor video marketing program in 2019, designed to revolutionize how the industry communicates its value proposition. The program has led to the creation of 25 advisor videos and counting. Amal is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s CORe program and the recipient of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management. She shares insights on business strategy through podcasts and articles published on advisor.ca. To date, she has delivered 67 keynotes at speaking engagements across Canada. She also travels the country.

Further to having successfully completed the Financial Advisor program of Matane College and to obtaining his insurance of persons license with the AMF, Ardy started his career in the financial industry with an important Quebec based insurance products

supplier in 2012. Having held various sales, and client relationship management positions within the past ten years, he joined RBC Insurance in 2014 and is currently working as one of its life and living benefits Sr. sales consultants. Over the years, Ardy and his team have assisted hundreds of advisors in growing their insurance business. His responsibilities include working closely with industry professionals to identify key opportunities, recommend the right solutions for their clients and provide solid sales and development training when applicable.
