Developing a genuine learning community is not something that grows organically from programs, curricula, or structures, no matter how good these may be. It is the outcome of deeply devoted teachers going the extra mile to inspire their students and give them the tools they need to achieve career goals. This is what we live for: educating inspired leaders, one graduate at a time.

“Nowadays I think about myself as a very confident person, able and ready to implement my skills...”

“For the first time in my life, I feel I found what I really want to do with my life ...”

“Working as an intern for the Canada Export Centre has taught me new ways to solve problems and to create opportunities. After this experience, I really understood how a company works and how projects are carried out. Nowadays I think about myself as a very confident person, able and ready to implement my skills in order to create and improve international negotiations and intercultural management. My experience working for the Canada Export Centre has also opened my mind to the under-standing of new cultures, languages, behaviours and expressions. I’m aware of all the changes and challenges the world of international trade is facing. I will take the knowledge I have now every where I go, but mostly to my own country. I consider the end of my international Co-op internship a very important achievement. I really believe that people can develop themselves in co-op experiences like the one I had with KGIBC - CTC. Now I’m looking to the future of my career!”

“I am a hotel management student at KGIBC - CTC and my co-op job is with a hotel spa a position I really wanted that related to my career goals! It is opening doors for my future. Overall, this course is making me grow as a person. The professional skills I am learning will help in the hotel and busi-ness world. For the first time in my life, I feel I found what I really want to do with my life because this program is about real-life, not just about what the book says.”

“Over the past year we have had several KGIBC - CTC intern students at the Canada Export Centre, including Marianna Haddad, and they have all been fantastic. The ability to have multilingual intern researchers has been invaluable in developing internationalbusiness opportunities for the Canada Export Centre. The interns have all beenprofessional, enthusiastic, and always willing to go that extra mile. Whenever I am in need of an intern, KGIBC - CTC is the first place that I call as I am always guaranteed to get strong candidates.”

“We could not be more pleased with our student from the KGIBC - CTC Co-op program. Our Co-op student Foyi, from Mexico, has been a wonderful addition to our staff at MBody Spa at the Pacific Palisades Hotel. Foyi speaks a second language, and she has been able to help us increase and maintain our Spanish-speaking customer base, which we could not have done without her. As well, her personality is a perfect fit for the hotel and spa business. She is out-going and welcoming to our visitors and hotel guests, and she is always eager to learn how to help us improve our business. Giving an international student a chance to work in the Spa Industry has turned into a mutually beneficial relationship, and we would be very happy to do it again!”

TestimonialMorisa Ya-wan ChangTESOL C graduate now teaching in Taiwan

“I got a great opportunity to have practicum. I learned how to find the teaching resource for ESL from my host teacher and I could also link up what I learned from the TESOL for Children class with the real teachingenvironment. I’m glad that I always tried to do my best every single day, so I not only got lots of preciousmemories, but also got a recommendation letter from my host teacher.I returned back to Taiwan and right after... I got my job to be an ESL teacher!
