Abstract—
his paper focuses on the study of Mr Khalid Saleem S/o Dr Saleem Wahid Saleem’s life, pure [electrical
switching system] evolved by him using Boolean Algebra and printed circuit board in 1989. Top Indian
scientist declared him extra-ordinary in ISRO. In around 1970, he developed many models with it such as
electrical chess, token system. Designed the digital block with LEDs Arabic Numbers (As written in Arabic style).
Besides display, these numbers have its own system which is not the conventional electronic mesh array. This paper
also deals with his poetry, 786 rupee collection and other collections such as old coins of India and abroad.
Keywords— Switching Chess, Extra-ordinary, born scientist, philosopher, Rs786 collection, Coin of India and Abroad

I. DESCRIPTION OF BINARY COUNTING
Image-1 Went to U.K. and Denmark regarding training of speed regulation of 3-phase induction motor frequency
(Cycle) converters, involving computer programming
The phrase “Necessity is the mother of invention” proves very true in the case of the binary counting was done in the
olden days. Man knew only few digits and by the combination of the same the counting was done. One will be surprised
to learn that even in the sputnik era, there are various tribes which still count with the help of only two digits i.e. 1 and 2.
For example, for them 5 is 2 plus 2 plus 1 and so on; a tribe of the fortes straits count as follow:-[17]
URAPUN, OKOSA, OKOSA-URAPUN, OKOSA-OKOSA
During the course of mental evolution of human being, mathematicians of the earlier days could come up the number
from 1 to 9 only. The tenth number 0 came into existence much later.
The Arabs tried to symbolize these digits in simple.
This time it was in term of acute or right angles as shown below:-
Now for a common it was quite easy to remember ten symbols.
The man of the present age has forgotten the prime factor of the development of the above symbols, as it has happened
with other things like division of the year which was basically in 10 parts (Initially, the last four months of the year were
called September the seventh, October the eight, November the ninth and December the tenth and when Julins Ceasor
and Augustus Caesar wanted to have months named after them the number of the months was increased to 12).
Similarly to above there is the example of the quantity of time which are called Minutes and Seconds initially the
quantities were called hour, first minute (tiny) hour and second minute, minute hour which were later on abbreviated as
hour, Minute (pronounced as MINNIT to distinct in the form the word minute) and Second (same as of the series first,
second and third). Forms but those days it was too difficult for a commoner to remember even these ten symbols. Later
the Romans tried to identify these digits by less number of symbols I stood for 1, V stood for 5 and X denoted 10. With

the formation of these symbols the counting system became quite easy. Actually a number system is nothing more than a
code. For each distinct quantity there is an assigned symbol were allotted to the number on Arabic pattern. After
memorizing the code we can and this leads to Arithmetic and higher form of Mathematics.[17]
Later on the Roman symbolization also became uncommon and the new and easy (to remember) symbols were allotted to
the number on the Arabic pattern. This was after the fall of the Roman Empire and the credit goes to the developed
European Nations.
Now I return to the system of counting.
Our normal system of counting which is worldly accepted is called Decimal system of counting because it has ten
digits in all (from 0 to 9) and the complete system is based up to the reference of 10. For example for us number 1235
means.
1*10 3 +2*102+3*101+5*100
=1000+200+30+5=1235
Or 54726 means
5*104+4*103+ 7*102+2*101+6*100
=50000+4000+700+20+6(x0as1)
=54726
II. PURE ELECTRICAL SWITCHING CIRCUITRY[BASED CHESS AND OTHER MODELS]
In the words of Mr. Khalid Saleem “I am a Muslim & ALLAH RABBUL IZZAH has bestowed upon me the idea to
develop special methods with the help of which various objectives can be achieved in the field of Electrical &
Electronic Engineering and the same can be utilized for development of Arabic language in these fields. In connection
of above ALHAMDULLILAH I have developed a unique model which was designed, developed and made personally.”
He stayed in many countries and about this he had sent a letter to his Highness the Ambassador to India Govt of Saudi
Arabia in 1991. The letter was presented before his Majesty the king of Saudi Arabia, Al Khadimul Haramain
Sharifain[22], the well wisher & the representative of UMMATUAL MUSLIMEEN, as this model is to laud that there is
nothing to be worshipped other than Almighty Allah. This unique model can be switched to automatic mode as well &
could be enlarged upto 30 meters, * 50 meter & beyond).
Based on that method, Mr Khalid Saleem developed the circuit of electronic game[1] braving a lot of problems in
procurement of materials, specially the flat type (Yellow and Green) L.E.Ds.

Through conventional array in diode mesh system, we require total 49 diodes. To show Arabic numbers, he succeeded in
developing a circuit with a mesh having only 31 diodes with great effort. In next step that is using negative logic that
was possible to display the Arabic number from 0 to 9 reaching to stage, he changed the display conditions & This way
only 4 diodes were required to display 0 to 9 arabic numbers.
In the final stage these 4 diodes were also eliminated & diode mesh system was completely eliminated.
On the top of the above evolved the pure electrical circuitry for the digital blocks in 2,3 or 4 numbers etc. Display the
digits up to 999,9999 etc
Arabic numbers display in Arabic pattern the evolution not stop & developed. The digital block for Arabic numbers in
Arabic pattern with 16 rectangle diodes & one round diode (Total 17 Nos).
A pure electrical switching circuit was now designed & this was possible by regulating the Arabic digital display & block
through a T.V. DPDT(Double pole double throw) selection switch.
Finally the circuit for display Arabic numbers pattern was evolved & displayed.
You shall be pleased to note this the pure electrical switching circuitry is useful not only for counting but with the help of
this system, he was able to produce a chess(Design, Development, material procurement, crafting, everything is single-
handedly by him. For this, Mr Khalid Saleem said that he owed & very much thankful to his wife Ghazala begum
who encouraged & helped him to support in doing the soldering of in numerous wires of the electrical chess,
which was completed in about thirteen months). The system evolved can be utilized in so many ways & one plus point is that the LED display can be transformed to tube
lights as 4mm long LED can be replaced by 4*5 standard tube light & one can utilize the display on a large scale. The
large counting board may utilized for score board while an economical & simple very large display board can be made up
to a size of a football stadium.

III. POETRY RECITAL
Dr Khalifa Abdul[8], the younger brother of Abdul Wahid Dar who was grandfather of Khalid Saleem, obtained degrees
of M.A.,L.L.B., Ph.D. from Germany in year 1924. He was an authority on Allama Iqbal & Mirza Ghalib and a colleague
of Sarvpalli Dr. Radha Krishnan, former President Of India whereas Khalid Saleem’s father Dr Saleem Wahid Saleem[10]
was poet par excellence. Ph.D. has been granted by a renowned university to a lady who research his literary work.
Khalid Saleem was electricals engineer born in Aligarh and get educated there. Khalid Saleem visited many countries in
Europe and did job in Saudi Arabia for many years. He was always after novelty in Urdu poetry and composed some
marvellous Ghazals, which published in periodicals and magazines such as Hamara Adab, Insha Culcullta, Shane
Shahajahpur etc. Appeared occasionally on radio and TV. Took part in Mushayaras conducted in such as BHEL, Mullah
Ramuzi Sanskiriti Bhawan, Doordarshan Kendra etc....

The sound had the bearing of a young wish,
The sound was seeking hard for the love to fish,
The sound has got the language of its own,
The sound explaining whatever could be shown,

Khankhanahat me thi pyar ki justajoo
Khankhanahat ki hai ek alag hi zabaan
Khankhanahat Jo karti hai sab kuch bayan

Some one having satisfaction some one having nil,
Some one like the blooming lotus some one mental clad,
Some one laughing & glad some one rather sad,

Koi hasta kanwal koi sangeen hai
Koi nagma sara koi ghamgeen hai
How long to carry on this thing like this,
How long the disease be flourishing like this,
Let me go there and trace the source of indication,
Whether it was down the whirl or a safe station,

Who says in the moon there lives an old lady
Infect it is the fetus of the frightened female baby
In the Dark Age people took it, to be the best
When the girl was borned they got together
The leg of the big cot had to be kept on chest
The relatives used to chose on the cot together
Every one did not know that the girl was killed
They said only with there presence the bed had been filled
The cruel custom still going with a different angle
Whole lot is now killer pretending to be angle
In advance probing is done if the child is she
Death is thus best owned before the birth accordingly
Who says that in the moon there lives an old lady
In fact it is the fetus of a frightened female baby
